California Dreaming guided motorcycle tour - is truly the best of California and the Pacific Coast Highway: sunshine, ocean scenery, and magnificent cliffs! Ride your motorcycle on the beautiful and breath-taking Pacific Coast Highway. The tour includes the relaxing town of Santa Barbara, the gorgeous coastal cliffs of Big Sur, Cannery Row at Monterey and the funky, individualistic city of San Francisco. Crossing the San Francisco Bay on majestic Golden Gate Bridge has always been a dream for many motorcyclists. As we head further north along the beautiful and rugged coastline you'll experience the artist and beatnik town of Mendocino. A thrilling ride through Jackson State Forest on curvy roads just made for bikes drops us into Clearlake and eventually Napa Valley for some wine tasting and great food.
Tour Itinerary:
Day 1 : Los Angeles Arrival. California Dreaming. Please take the shuttle bus to your Los Angeles airport hotel. Representative will be present at the hotel lobby to give you information about the upcoming trip. Explore L.A.’s night life or just get a goodnight’s sleep.
Day 2 : Los Angeles - Santa Barbara. After we pick up our favourite motorcycle at headquarters in Hawthorne, we head up the famous Hwy. 1 and wind past the famous surf breaks on the California beach scene, ride through Malibu along the beautiful coast into Santa Barbara where we check in at the Mar Monte Hotel just steps away from the beach. (90 miles/145 km)
Day 3 : Santa Barbara - San Simeon. California Dreaming. Today we ride through the Santa Ynez mountains, pass Lake Cachuma and take hidden side roads before we check in at our oceanfront hotel in San Simeon.
Day 4 : San Simeon - Monterey. California Dreaming. After an optional visit to Hearst Castle, ninety miles of twisting, hilly roads along the cliffs edge of Big Sur await us in the morning. We glide like eagles through the turns high above the rugged and remote ocean and arrive in Monterey in time for dinner.
Day 5 : Monterey - San Francisco. California Dreaming. Sleep in and enjoy some ocean breeze or spend an early morning visit o Monterey’s Cannery Row, the Aquarium or Carmel. We later head up the rugged coast into one of the most beautiful cities in the world, San Francisco. We overnight close to all the attractions at Fisherman's Wharf.
Day 6 : San Francisco. California Dreaming. This day is at leisure to enjoy the beautiful city of San Francisco, a funky, individualistic, surprisingly small place – certainly the most liberal city in the US. San Francisco has an European flair and lot’s of opportunities to do some sightseeing. Do not miss a trip to Alcatraz, a Bay Cruise, or a Cable Car ride.
Day 7 : San Francisco - Mendocino. California Dreaming. We leave our Italian-inspired hotel and get ready for the adventure. We first cross Golden Gate Bridge and soon hit one of the best coastal motorcycle roads in America. You will get spoiled with curvy, windy roads and spectacular views of stunning rock formations along the coast. We head into Mendocino to explore some unusual boutiques and unique galleries.
Day 8 : Mendocino - Santa Rosa. California Dreaming. Highway 20 leads us on a phantastic curvy journey through Jackson State forest to Willits. We pass Clearlake and run into the quaint little town of Calistoga fur lunch. From here we continue through Petrofied Forest into Santa Rosa where we check in at a nice resort and enjoy our Good-Bye dinner.
Day 9 : Santa Rosa Departure. California Dreaming. We leave Santa Rosa and take the Silverado Trail which takes us through Napa Valley's vineyards. As we hook up with the 101 again we cross the Golden Gate Bridge into San Francisco to - relucantly - drop off the bikes and say "Good-Bye" to our newly made friends and guides.
