Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: Arrive Abidjan. Arrive the Abidjan FHB international airport, meet, assistance and transfer to your hotel; check in and overnight.
Day 2: Abidjan – Yamoussoukro (245 km). Depart Abidjan for Yamoussoukro, the new political and administrative capital of Côte d’Ivoire (Ivory Coast); arrive after 3 hours drive and check in at President SPDC hotel. Visit the huge and majestic “Our Lady of Peace” Basilica and the University Colleges. Luncheon will be taken in a typical “maquis” restaurant. Afternoon, visit of Baoulé weavers villages followed by a traditional masked danse “Goly”. Return to town, dinner and overnight at your hotel.
Day 3: Yamoussoukro – Gagnoa – San Pedro (363 km). Visit, after breakfast, the Houphouet Boigny Foundation for peace research in the World and leave Yamoussoukro for San Pedro, the regional capital of the southern west of the country; luncheon will be taken en route at Soubré. Afternoon, visit the “Nawa” Waterfalls of the Sassandra river et proceed to San Pedro; arrive by end of the day, check in, dinner and overnight at Sophia hotel.
Day 4: San Pedro – Sassandra – Dagbego (105 km). Breakfast, morning at leisure for beach. Luncheon at hotel. Afternoon, visit the fishers and fish mongers market of the City and leave for Dagbego, the natural beach resort in a typical village; visit en route the 7th Art Island and the City of Sassandra; arrive by end of the day, check in, dinner and overnight at the “Best of Africa” village hotel.
Day 5: Dagbego. Full day at leisure for beach with full board at Dagbego.
Day 6: Dagbego – Tiagba – Abidjan (305 km). Breakfast, leave Dagbego for Abidjan; visite en route Coconut trees, Oil Palm trees and Rubber trees plantations; arrive Tiagba and dugout cannoe to go across the lagoon, visit the island of Tiagba with its wooderful legend; pick nick luncheon will be taken in the village. Afternoon, proceed your way to Abidjan; arrive by end of the day, check in and overnight at your hotel.
Day 7: Abidjan – Grand Bassam – Abidjan. Breakfast, visit Abidjan and its contrasts: the somptuous Villas of Cocody with its colourful market, the magnificent St. Paul Cathedral and the National Museum of African Civilisation of Plateau, the impressive ST Mary’s Sanctuary of Adjame and the picturesque Treichville district; proceed to Grand Bassam, the old colonial capital of the country (1893-1900). Arrive and visit the old French Headquarters, the Craft center, the Ceramic center and the traditional Costumes Museum. Luncheon will be taken in a beach restaurant at Grand Bassam. Afternoon, relaxation and shopping at the souvenirs market and return to your hotel at Abidjan.
Day 8: Abidjan – Departure. Full day at leisure until your transfer to the Abidjan FHB international airport for a departure flight to your next destination.
