Places you will visit:
- The Uganda museum: a vivid reminder of the country’s past. Located a few kilometers from the city center, the museum offers a display of Uganda’s cultural heritage where one can see ethnological and natural historical exhibitions.
- Bahai temple: the only one of it’s kind in Africa. Bahai temple is on the top of a beautiful hill with scenic grounds. It’s an amazing place.
- Rubaga cathedral is one of the famous religious landmarks in Kampala together with Namirembe cathedral and Kibuli mosque. The religious sites are magnificent edifices standing on hills over looking Kampala city.
- Kasubi Royal Tombs: resting place to four of Buganda’s kings. Located 5km from the city center, the royal tombs are probably one of the most captivating historical sites in Uganda which when visited gives one an awareness of a powerful and unfading African culture.
- Enjoy a traditional Ugandan style lunch at a local favorite restaurant at the gardens restaurant at ranches grill.
- Connect to the royal parliament/Bulange and the Kabaka’s lake. The lake with a magnificent site and plenty of bird life is another of Buganda’s treasured sites South west of the palace at Mengo.
- From the king’s palace, visit the martyr’s shrine at Namugongo where 22 of Kabaka’s pages were burnt alive for believing in the catholic faith.
- Visit the Ssezibwa falls that emerge from a twin river, the only place where black water rafting can take place in Africa. With its beauty and healing in harmony, the place attracts a lot of bird life making it listed among the bird watcher’s havens in Uganda.
