Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: Kampala - Queen Elizabeth National Park. From Kampala we will depart for Queen Elizabeth National Park. On our way we will pass the Ugandan equator where you can take pictures and shop for a souvenir. After lunch in Mbarara we continue to the southwest and head for the Western Rift Valley. Upon arrival in the park you might spot the first wildlife, like waterbucks and warthogs, before arriving at your accommodation in the middle of the park. Dinner and overnight at Simba Safari Camp. For upgrade you can stay at Mweya Safari Lodge or Jacana Safari Lodge.
Day 2: Queen Elizabeth National Park. The day begins early as we go for a morning game drive and head for the mating ground of the Uganda Kobs. We search for lions, elephants, buffaloes and other wild animals in their natural habitat, before returning for lunch. In the afternoon we take on a boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, a natural link between Lake Edward and Lake George. Thanks to the abundant birdlife that is sighted and the hundreds of hippos that are cooling off at the shores, this cruise will definitely be one of the highlights of your safari. Dinner and overnight at Simba Safari Camp. For upgrade you can stay at Mweya Safari Lodge or Jacana Safari Lodge.
Day 3: Queen Elizabeth National Park - Kibale Forest. After breakfast we will take you for a walk through the Maramagambo Forest, known for the Blue Lake and the Bat and Hunters Cave. You will get the chance to have a close look at the bats and maybe even the rock python and forest cobras that feed on the bats. The same walk will provide you with views of different bird species, primates and trees. After this activity we will leave Queen Elizabeth National Park and drive to Fort Portal, situated at the foot of the Mountains of the Moon. From here we continue to the dense forest of Kibale National Park. Dinner and overnight at the cottages of Primate Lodge Kibale. For upgrade you can stay at the luxury tents of Primate Lodge Kibale.
Day 4: Kibale National Park. Early in the morning visit to Kibale Forest National Park, reputable of having the greatest variety and highest concentration of primates in East Africa. Enjoy a guided nature walk in the tropical rainforest in search of the wild chimpanzees, red-tailed monkeys, black-and-white colobus monkeys and many others. After lunch we will go for the Bigodi Swamp Walk, an initiative of the local community. The swamp is known for its rich diversity of birds and primates. Dinner and overnight at the cottages of Primate Lodge Kibale. For upgrade you can stay at the luxury tents of Primate Lodge Kibale.
