Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: Arrival to San Salvador: Transfer from the International Airport of Comalapa to San Salvador City, about 39 kms and 35 minutes away. Upon arrival, a representative from our company will welcome and assist you. (optional Night tour: visit the restaurants area and nightlife of San Salvador)
Day 2: City Tour & Panchimalco
Tour arround the main avenues of the city, a visit to the history of El Salvador, told by the various monuments scattered throughout the capital. Passing through the Plaza of the Americas, in its center is the monument that gives name to the country, “El Salvador del Mundo” (The Worlds‘ Savior). Visit the Alameda Roosevelt to reach the Plaza Barrios and watch the impressive Metropolitan Cathedral, the National Palace, the elegant side, both great historical prominences. Finally visit the National Theater of neoclassical architectural style which is reminiscent of the great European theaters. Panchimalco is a UNESCO protected site, just below the rock formation known as ¨La Puerta del Diablo¨ (The Devil’s Door). From there you will enjoy a beautiful view of San Vicente volcano and Lake Ilopango. Later, visit to the colonial Church of the Holy Cross, the art Gallery of Miguel Ángel, a Salvadorean Artist that captured on canvas the features of innocence of the locals (Disco tour optional: visit the bar and disco areas of San Salvador: Multiplaza, Zona Rosa and La Gran Via)
Day 3: Archeological Boquerón
After breakfast transfer to the imposing Volcano of San Salvador, the crater known as Boquerón. Enjoy a refreshing ecotouristic walk trough the nature and trails. Then go to the Black Sea, an area covered by lava, now volcanic rock, thrown out by el Boquerón . Later, transfer to the Pompeii of America, the archaeological site Joya de Cerén, World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1993. Joya de Cerén was covered by the explosion of the Loma Caldera volcano. This explosion allowed to keep the remains of the pre-Hispanic civilization for hundreds of years. Later visit the "Ruinas de San Andrés," free lunch in the city of Santa Ana and panoramic tour of the historic center of the city: the Gothic Cathedral of Santa Ana and the City Theater. Later, transfer to the beach resort “Las Hojas Resort”. Enjoy a refreshing swim in the beautiful Salvadorean beaches, take a massage at the edge of the sea or taste a delicious salvadorean cocktail while enjoying the wind of the Pacific Coast.
Day 4: Transfer Out. Three hours before the flight departure, transfer to El Salvador International Airport Comalapa. It was a pleasure to serve you! We hope we have the opportunity to attend you again! Have a nice trip!
