Suchitoto – The Flowers Route – Ruta Arqueológica – Boquerón - Santa Ana - City Tour – Playa La Paz
Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: Arrival to San Salvador. Trasfer from the Comalapa International Airport to the city of San Salvador, about 39 Kms and 35 minutes away. Upon arrival, a representative of our company will welcome you (Night tour optional: visit the restaurants and night life area of San Salvador).
Day 2: Archeological Route + Historical Santa Ana
After breakfast, visit the Pompeii of America, the archaeological site “Joya de Ceren”, declared World Heritage by UNESCO in 1993. Later the tour will continue at the “Ruins of San Andres”. Lunch at Santa Ana and sightseeing tour through the historic center of the city: Gothic Cathedral of Santa Ana and City Theater. Visit the archaeological site “Casablanca”, where you can watch a demonstration of dyeing fabric with indigo, just like our ancestors did. Later, visit the ruins of “Tazumal” with the largest pyramid around the Salvadoran territory. Return to the city. (Disco tour optional: visit the area of bars and clubs of San Salvador: Multiplaza, Zona Rosa and La Gran Via)
Day 3: Suchitoto Tour
After breakfast, transfer to the beautiful city of “Suchitoto”, meaning "Place of Birds and Flowers”, in Nahuatl. The city of Suchitoto offers the essence of the old colonial architecture. Visit its beautiful cobbled streets, art galleries, the Ruins’ Theater, the House of Crafts and the Santa Lucia Church, built in 1853, one of the main attractions of the city for its architecture and its historical significance. Then visit the Lake Suchitlán, a 135 square kms artificial lake with the largest area of water in the country. Back to San Salvador.(Disco optional tour: visit the area of bars and clubs of San Salvador: Zona Rosa, Multiplaza and La Gran Via)
Day 4: The Flowers Route
After breakfast, departure to "The Flowers Tour." Visit the colonial cities with beautiful mountain vegetation: Juayúa, Nahuizalco, Apaneca and Ataco. Lunch at Apaneca and the picturesque village of artisans Ataco to see the elaboration of local looms and handicrafts, and shop at the local traditional stores. The Flowers Route is one of the most popular tourist paths and it is named for its abundance of flowers on the scenic road. It is the area with coffee plantations and from where the highest quality coffee is exported all over the world. Back to San Salvador. Free evening to enjoy the surroundings.
Day 5: City Tour + Beach Day
Tour around the main avenues of the city, a visit to the history of El Salvador, told by the various monuments scattered throughout the capital. Passing through the Plaza of the Americas, in its center is the monument that gives name to the country, “El Salvador del Mundo” (The Worlds‘ Savior). Visit the Alameda Roosevelt to reach the Plaza Barrios and watch the impressive Metropolitan Cathedral, the National Palace, the elegant side, both great historical prominences. Finally visit the National Theater of neoclassical architectural style which is reminiscent of the great European theaters. Later, transfer to the beach resort “Las Hojas Resort”. Enjoy a refreshing swim in the beautiful Salvadorean beaches, take a massage at the edge of the sea or taste a delicious salvadorean cocktail while enjoying the wind of the Pacific Coast.
Day 6: Transfer to the Airport. Three hours before the flight departure, transfer to El Salvador International Airport Comalapa. It was a pleasure to serve you! We hope we have the opportunity to attend you again! Have a nice trip! End of our services.
