Experience 5000 years of history, from the earliest settlements through the time of Tamerlane and Alexander the Great. Admire the remains of countless palaces, fortresses and monuments, blue copolas on minarets and the lace-like ornamentation and brilliant ceramics of mausoleums and mosques. Meet with local archaeologists and enjoy the traditions and culture that survive to this day.
Day 1: Tashkent. Arrival in Tashkent. Transfer to the hotel, Tashkent Palace 4-Star .
Day 2: Tashkent - Urgench. City tour. Flight from Tashkent to Urgench. Transfer to hotel Khorezm Palace 4-Star.
Day 3: Khiva. Drive to Khiva (35 km). Excursion to Ichan Kala (Old city). Return to Urgench.
Day 4: Urgench - Ayaz Kala - Yurts. Drive to Ayaz Kala, accommodation in traditional Yurts. Excursion to Ayaz Kala, Toprak Kala, Koykirilgan Kala, Kizil Kala (Fortresses from Zoroastrian period), meet with local archaeologists.
Day 5: Ayaz Kala - Bukhara. Drive to Bukhara (450 km). Picnic in Uzbek Chaykhana (tea-house) in Kizilkum desert. Accommodation in hotel.
Day 6: Bukhara. Sightseeing tour.Dinner with folk-show in Medreseh Nodir Divan Begi.
Day 7: Bukhara. Drive to Paykent (60 km), remains of ancient city. Return to Bukhara. Continuation of city tour: Fortress-Ark (1st century), Ismail Samani mausoleum - the "Pearl of the East (9th century) and Chashma- Ayub (12-16th centuries) mausoleum.
Day 8: Bukhara - Samarkand. Sightseeing day drive to Samarkand (300 km). Accommodation in hotel. Afrosiyob Ruins (6th century) and museum (6-13th centuries). Overnight in the Afrosiab Palace 4-Star.
Day 9: Samarkand. Samarkand sightseeing tour: Ulugbek’s Observatory (15th century), Registan Square: Ulugbek, Sherdor and Tilla Kori Medreseh (15-17th centuries), Mausoleum of Guri Emir (15th century) and Bibi Khanum Mosque (15th century). Visit to Sinagogue and Jewish Quarters.
Day 10: Samarkand - Shakhrisabz. Sightseeing drive to Shahrisabz (150 km.). Excursion to Shahrisabz: Ruins in summer residence of Tamirlane “Ak-Saroy” (15th century), the Mosque Hazrati Imom and Kok Gumbaz – the mosque with blue dome (15th century) and Darut-Saadat (15th century). Return to Samarkand.
Day 11: Samarkand. Samarkand sightseeing: Shahi Zinda Ensemble (9-19th centuries) with more than 20 mausoleums, Medreseh Hodja Ahrar (15th century). Visit the bazaar. Free time.
Day 12: Samarkand - Tashkent. Drive to Tashkent. Flight back home from Tashkent.
