Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: Jomo Kenyatta International Airport –Nairobi
Met on arrival of your flight by a Trip Africa representative. Transfer to Nairobi, Kenya’s colourful capital city to your hotel overlooking the city. Overnight stay at Nairobi Serena BB or similar
Day 2: Nairobi - Amboseli National Park
After an early breakfast transfer to Nairobi Wilson Airport for your short scheduled service flight to Amboseli National Park. On arrival you are met and transferred with brief game drive to the lodge. After a brief rest away from the scotching sun proceed for game drive in this reserve famous for its big game and its great scenic beauty. Amboseli boasts open plains, acacia woodland, rocky thorn bush, swamps and marshes that are fed by the ever replenishing melt waters of Mount Kilimanjaro. Its also referred to as a birdwatchers paradise with over 350 recorded species. Return to your lodge at sunset. Dinner and overnight at Amboseli Serena lodge. Includes: (B), (L), (D).
Day 3: Amboseli National Park. Enjoy full day in Amboseli with early morning and afternoon game drives. All meals and overnight at Amboseli Serena Lodge. Includes: (B), (L), (D).
Day 4: Amboseli National Park – Samburu/Buffalo Springs Game Reserve
After an early breakfast, transfer to the airstrip for your scheduled service flight(Approx 30Minutes) to Nairobi and continue by scheduled service flight to Samburu (Approx 1hour). On arrival you are met and transferred with game drive to your lodge by the river side. Samburu came to international limelight in the early 2000 when a lioness adopted two Oryx babies, each at different times, akin to the Biblical garden of Eden. Enjoy game drive en-route to your lodge. Remote and rugged, this reserve provides some of the most colorful photography and unique game viewing in the country. After lunch and brief afternoon rest enjoy your first game drive. Dinner and overnight at Samburu Serena Lodge. Includes: (B), (L), (D).
Day 5: Samburu/Buffalo Springs Game Reserves
Spend early morning and afternoon game viewing drives in this reserve which covers 40 square miles (104 square kilometres). Ololokwe Table Mountain forms a dramatic backdrop to our game viewing, as we search the unique game only found north of the equator; - straight-horned Beisa Oryx antelope, long-necked Gerenuk gazelle, Blue legged Somali ostrich and the grevy zebra. The dirty brown Ewaso Nyiro River is dotted with doum palms and meanders through the reserve giving it an oasis setting. All meals at Samburu Serena Lodge. Includes: (B), (L), (D).
Day 6: Samburu Game Reserve - Masai Mara Game Reserve
After an early morning game drive return to the lodge for breakfast and check out. You are transferred to the airstrip for your scheduled service flight back to Nairobi (Approx hour) in time for a sumptuous lunch at the famous Carnivore Restaurant , and the chance to try wild game meat. Afternoon take a scheduled service flight to the world famous Masai Mara Game Reserve (Approx 1hour ) On arrival a vehicle awaits you for your transport just a stone throw away the lodge. Enjoy an afternoon game drive in this reserve,one of Africa's best known wildlife areas, and part of the Serengeti ecosystem. A land of undulating hills and rolling grasslands it supports a large animal population. Large prides of lions sometimes numbering over twenty with a handsome black maned male in dominance is a sight to behold.
In the Mara river crocodiles are in plenty while the hippos just give blunt stares while playing in the water. Plainsgame are all in abundance, and during the months of July to September the great migration of Wildebeest and Zebras spill over from the Serengeti. The sight of these beasts legging it across the Mara River, avoiding both the crocodiles in the river, and the predators harassing them from behind is amazing, and the topic of some of the most spectacular photography ever seen. Dinner and overnight. Mara Serena Lodge. Includes: (B), (L), (D).
Day 7: Masai Mara Game Reserve
Spend full day with morning and afternoon game drives in search of the 'big five'. It is home to herds of zebra, migrating wildebeest, awesome prides of lions, stately giraffes, herds of elephants and other numerous plains game. You may wish to take a step back in time by making a visit to a traditional Maasai Manyatta and experience the culture and traditions of this world famous community. All meals and overnight at Mara Serena lodge. Includes: (B), (L), (D).
Day 8: Nairobi /departure. After breakfast, bid good bye to the ever imposing Masai Mara with a silent sigh. Transfer to the airstrip for the morning scheduled service flight back to Nairobi [Approx 1 hour) and transfer from Wilson Airport to the airport for your onward arrangements.
