Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: Samburu
Arrive at the Jomo Kenyatta International airport you will be met by our representative. Drive North to Samburu in a famous national reserve set in the stark country in the hot and arid fringes of Kenya's vast northern region along the Ewaso Nyiro River. The river's permanent waters abound with crocodile, hippo and plenty of wildlife including the peculiar Grevy zebra, Gerenuk, Beisa Oryx and the comical Somali Ostrich, unique to these northern partsthis semi-arid area is well known for its variety of game species including the Reticulated Giraffe, Grevy’s Zebra and Gerenuk. Enjoy your game drive game. All meals and Overnight at Sentrim Tented Camp.
Day 2: Samburu
Early morning game drive the time when the animals are most active before the heat of the day sends them for cover under the bushes, burrows and trees in search elephants, lions or buffalos, an experience you will never forget. Return for breakfast free mid morning at leisure lunch. Afternoon game viewing drive in the reserve. All meals and overnight Senrtim Tented Camp.
Day 3: Mount Kenya NP
Early morning game drive in Samburu breakfast and then drive to Mount Kenya area arriving at the Serena Mountain Lodge for lunch Located on the slopes of Mount Kenya, the lodge is surrounded by a dense rain forest that comes alive at dusk with a myriad of sounds that makes the African bush so special and exhilarating. The lodge’s waterhole presents a constant ballet of wildlife. Evening enjoy a night game viewing from your lodge deck. Dinner and overnight at Serena Mountain Lodge.
Day 4: Aberdare NP
Leisurely breakfast at the lodge then set out for the Aberdares. Arrive at base hotel for lunch. After lunch, transfer by special transport through the salient and into the Treehotel. From the comfort of your balcony, you can watch animals as they come to drink water and lick salt from floodlit waterholes. Dinner and overnight at The Ark.
Day 5: Masai Mara
After breakfast. Depart to Masai Mara National Reserve arriving time for lunch Afternoon game viewing in the reserve. Masai Mara is a magnificent landscape of open plains bisected by the Mara River and its tributaries, and punctuated by marshes and forests. Certainly the most frequented game reserve in Kenya, this 650 sq kilometer reserve supports the highest density of game to be seen anywhere. During the seasonal migrations, Masai Mara is home to up to a million wildebeest and an equally impressive number of zebras that move into the area from neighboring Serengeti National Park, in Tanzania. The reserve is home to all the “big five” and it is also possible to observe; baboon, eland, ostrich, bat-eared fox, jackal and cheetah. The rivers abound with hippos and crocodiles. Dinner and overnight at Sentrim Tented Camp.
Day 6: Masai Mara
Enjoy the entire day in the Masai Mara with early morning game drive, optional balloon safari at an extra cost Afternoon game drive. The Mara is also noted for its abundance of lions - particularly the superb black maned males. You'll see lots of elephants here often in large herds, as well as - if you're lucky - leopard, cheetah and rhino. All of the Big Five are residents. You're sure to see the African buffalo. Get the cameras ready, stock up on film and enjoy yourselves! All Meals and overnight at Sentrim Tented Camp.
Day 7: Nairobi. Breakfast and then depart for Nairobi lunch enroute (own arrangements). Shopping Dinner at the famous Carnivore restaurant Transfer to the airport for Departure.
End of Service.
