Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: Arrival in Sofia – the capital of Bulgaria, which comprises more than 250 historic, archeological and architectural landmarks. Transfer and accommodation in 4* hotel. Dinner in traditional Bulgarian restaurant with live music. Overnight in Sofia.
Day 2: Breakfast at the hotel. Departure to Rila Monastery – the biggest and most significant monastery in Bulgaria under the protection of UNESCO. Sightseeing tour of the monastery buildings, the church, Magernitza, the museum and etc. Lunch in Melnik. The town is famous for its red wines and Melnik pyramids - natural sand sculptures, surrounding the town. Visit Kordopulova’s house - traditional Bulgarian trade house with impressive wine cellars. Wine tour with tasting in Damyanitsa wine cellar (No man’s land, Redark, Uniqato). In the afternoon departure to the town of Sandanski - located in the foothills of the Pirin Mountains. Sandanski is unique climate resort with mineral springs. Accommodation in 3* hotel. Dinner in thematic restaurant with live music. Overnight in Sandanski.
Day 3: Breakfast at the hotel. Departure to the city of Plovdiv through the town of Bansko. During the journey visit the Rozhen Monastery. Lunch and wine tasting in Todoroff boutique wine cellar in Brestovica village. Professional wine tasting in the cellar of the house with lunch. Arrival in Plovdiv and dinner in Old Plovdiv town in tavern with live music. Accommodation in 3* hotel. Overnight in Plovdiv.
Day 4: Breakfast at the hotel. Guided tour in Sofia with English speaking guide and visit of the cathedral and memorial church St. Alexander Nevsky, the National Theater, the House of Parliament, the former Royal Palace, the Sofia University and others (subject to the flight schedule). Transfer to the airport.
