Day 1: Auckland - Coromandel Peninsula. Collect your rental car from the city center and drive to Coromandel Peninsula. Spend the rest of your day taking in the picturesque coast, white sandy beaches, rural countryside, native bush and spacious gardens of the Coromandel. Overnight in our partner accommodation in Coromandel. Day 2: Coromandel Peninsula. Spend the day exploring this scenic area - drive to the beautiful Cathedral Cove and Hot Water Beach and relax or do one of the many nature walks around this area. Overnight in our partner accommodation in Coromandel. Day 3: Coromandel Peninsula- Rotorua. Drive to Rotorua and check in to your accommodation. Visit "Wai-O-Tapu" geothermal wonderland. Visit Mitai Maori Village and be treated to evening concert, a traditional Maori Hangi, and glow-worm bush walk. Also visit Rainbow Springs Nature Park to view the elusive Kiwi. Overnight in our partner accommodation. Day 4: Rotorua. Take a scenic flight over Mt Tawarewa & Waimangu Volcanic Valley. Day 5: Rotorua - Lake Taupo - Wellington. View Lake Taupo late morning and visit Mt Ruapehu Wellington - New Zealand's Capital and most vibrant city. Go out for dinner or perhaps take in a show! This morning do the famous Whale watch Kaikoura tour. Stop at the divine Pukeko Junction Cafe in Leithfield for a late lunch. Christchurch. Explore Queenstown & Arrowtown. Take the gondola to Bob's Peak for amazing views. Do an adrenaline activity - e.g. Jet Boating! Overnight in our partner accommodation in Queenstown. Day 10: Queenstown. Free time to explore in the morning. Afternoon Vineyard & Winery tour. Overnight in our partner accommodation in Queenstown. Day 11: Queenstown - Milford Sound. Queenstown - Milford Sound (overnight cruise). Day 12: Milford Sound - Cardrona. Drive/Coach from Milford Sound back to Queenstown. We highly recommend flying back! (optional). Drive to Cardrona over the Crown range, New Zealand's highest highway. Stay at a high country homestead and enjoy the alpine air. Enjoy dinner & drinks at New Zealand's oldest Pub - the Cardrona Hotel. Day 13: Cardrona - Franz Josef. Meander your way through quaint Wanaka. Do a scenic helicopter flight over Fox Glacier and Mt Cook, and land on a Glacier. Overnight in our partner accommodation in Franz Josef Glacier. Day 14: Greymouth - Christchurch. Drive north to Greymouth. Board the TranzAlpine train and take in the lush scenery and alpine grandeur between Greymouth & Christchurch.
