"The Return of desire" - Opening Our Hearts, Trusting Our Bodies, Enriching Our Lives.
“Why do so many of us reflect on our lives and relationships and ask? “Isn’t there supposed to be something more?” In these turbulent times it’s crucial to remember who we are, and to reconnect with our most precious resources - compassion, creativity, resilience, and perhaps above all the capacity to enjoy pleasure and reach out to community. This week, we’ll create a safe, healing environment where we can listen to the profound wisdom of our hearts. We’ll ally with the elements and the beauties of the natural world that sustains us. We’ll merge scientific truths with sacred ceremony and down-to-earth exercises that connect us with each other and the power of our life stories. Our work together is based on the principle that supportive sharing about love, desire, and our collective journeys can inspire us, enrich our lives, and enhance our ability to help others.
Gina Ogden’s transformational “ISIS” practice will teach you innovative ways to:
- Create heart-to-heart communication in your intimate relationships
- Cultivate your potential for creativity throughout your life-span.
- Transcend guilt, shame, and “Mars/Venus” messages
- Heal the sexual wounds of abuse, violence, and addiction
- Rejuvenate and nourish yourself even in stressful times.
Women and men of all ages and all sexual and spiritual all orientations are welcome—with or without a partner. But that’s not all: make sure you bring your camera and sketchbook, as there will be numerous cultural excursions as well. We will visit the exotic Botanical Gardens for photography and sketching and take in it's extraordinary beauty, we will visit the Mt. town of El Tuito to strolling the zocalo (town square), tour the small but beautiful Hacienda Museum, having lunch and tequila tasting at the hacienda restaurant, overlooking the mountains and the aguave plantation with opportunities for horseback riding. We will also be taking a trip into Puerto Vallarta for shopping the Mercado, walking the malecon (boardwalk) and experience the lively arts scene.
There will be a boat trip to explore the gorgeous coastline and spectacular rock formations, as well as to swim or snorkel at Los Arcos National Coral Reef Park, with opportunities for seeing sea turtles, whales, dolphins and abundant fish. Other wild life is right at hand, from the balcony of your room you can view tropical birds and observe the local unspoiled Boca. Watch (and participate) as the simple authentic Mexican village life unfolds around you. This quaint fishing village unspoiled by tourists, is a rare treat off the beaten path. Words don’t actually do justice to the wonderful adventure in store for each participant. Come, relax and play in this fun and exhilarating workshop. In the playful, nurturing and supportive environment of Casa de los Artistas exploration is encouraged and creative expression is cultivated.
