Tour Itinerary:

Day 1: Lima. Assistance at your arrival to Lima International Airport and transfer to your Hotel.

Day 2: Lima/ Iquitos/ Ceiba Lodge

Breakfast. Ad according time transfer to airport in order to board a domestic flight to Iquitos. Ceiba Tops & Canopy Walkway Special (4D/3N). Reception at the airport, brief city orientation and transfer to the Explorama dock. Twenty-five mile journey down the Amazon River to Ceiba Tops where private rooms with air conditioning and hot water provide all of the comforts of home. Afternoon hike in the beautiful primary rain forest reserve surrounding Ceiba Tops which includes many huge trees festooned with epiphytes. After dinner there may be local flute or guitar music at the El Toucan Bar or the guides are always ready to relate some of the many legends of the Amazon forest. Lunch, Dinner Overnight Ceiba Tops.

Day 3: Iquitos/ Ceiba Tops

Morning boat ride, spotting for dolphins, to visit a small village of Yagua Indians where your guide will explain the Yagua Indian culture and how it was affected by the arrival of Europeans and the passing of time. There will also be an opportunity to see some of the local crafts and for a demonstration of the blowgun which some of the Yagua elders still use for hunting. Afternoon walking excursion to the neighboring town of Indiana. Originally a Franciscan mission, Indiana has grown into a large river community with its own market, high school and small hospital. Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner Overnight Ceiba Tops.

Day 4: Ceiba Tops/ Canopy Walkway/ Ceiba Tops

Early morning departure from Ceiba Tops by boat to the narrow motorcar crossing connecting the Amazon and Napo Rivers to continue by boat to ExplorNapo Lodge for breakfast. Hike to the spectacular Canopy Walkway spanning over 500 meters (one-third of a mile), connected by tree platforms, and reaching a height of over 35 meters (115 feet) but accessible without any type of climbing skill or equipment. After lunch, visit the "ReNuPeRu" Ethnobotanical Garden where over 240 medicinal plants are cultivated by a local shaman who will explain the nature of Amazonian natural healing and the uses of some of the plants. Return to Ceiba Tops in time to enjoy the pool or hammocks before dinner. Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner Overnight Ceiba Tops.

Day 5: Ceiba Tops/ Iquitos/ Lima/ Cuzco

Your choice of a morning walking or boating excursion to further enjoy the rain forest and Amazon River or time to relax by the pool until departure time. Flight Iquitos – Lima - Cuzco. Arrival and transfer to hotel.

Day 6: Cuzco/ Sacred Valley/ Ollantaytambo

Breakfast. 08:15 Full-day excursion to the "Sacred Valley of the Incas", (Share service) by the Vilcanota River. We will have the opportunity to share closely the peasants' customs and bargain with vendors at the typical Indian market of Pisac, held on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays. Lunch in a local countryside restaurant. After lunch, passing through the Towns of Calca and Urubamba, we visit the Inca Fortress and Citadel of Ollantaytambo, built to guard the entrance to this part of the Valley, and protect it from possible invasion from the tribes in the Lower jungle. The Fortress consists of a series of stepped carved stone terraces accessed by long staircases. Later on you can walk through the quaint streets of the nearby Town, and get a good idea of what this Strategic Military, Religious, and Agricultural Center was like during the era of the Inca Empire. Overnight stay in Ollanta.

Day 7: Ollantaytambo/ Machu Picchu/ Aguas Calientes

Breakfast at hotel. Train Vistadome Ollanta to Aguas Calientes (Hot Springs). The ride is on a panoramic train and takes three hours and a half approximately. Arrive and transfer to hotel. Day at leisure to explore on your own the town. Buffet lunch include. Overnight.

Day 8: Aguas Calientes/ Machu Picchu/ Cuzco

Breakfast. At according time transfer to the bus station to take the shuttle service uphill to Machu Picchu’s citadel (35 minutes). 10:00 AM Approx. The guided tour of the sacred citadel of Machu Picchu includes the well-known Intihuatana (Solar Clock), the Watchtower, the Inka’s Palace, the Three Windows etc. Return to Aguas Calientes. In the afternoon return to Cusco. Arrival and transfer to hotel. Overnight.

Day 9: Cuzco/ Lima/ City Tour

Breakfast. At the appropriate time, transfer to the airport to board your flight to Lima. Reception and transfer to hotel. 14:00 In the afternoon city tour, this excursion offers the best combination of the different attractions in Lima and its three historical periods: pre-Hispanic, colonial and contemporary. Lima was part of the Inca Empire until was founded by the Spaniard Francisco Pizarro on the 18th. of January, 1535 Ancestral Lima. At the Huaca Pucllana, an archaeological precinct build in the IV century A.C., we will have a panoramic view of this magnificent ceremonial and administrative center which was considered by the Incas a holy village. Colonial Lima, The Peruvian Viceroyalty was the most important one in the Spanish Empire and Lima was its capital. The highlights of its historical center are its architecture and the urban design of the city, found in the old streets filled with colonial houses adorned with Moorish-style balconies.

Our trip includes the Paseo de la Republica (Promenade of the Republic), Plaza San Martin(San Martin Square) and the Plaza Mayor (Main Square), with their different buildings: Palacio de Gobierno (Government Palace), Palacio Arzobispal the (Archbishop’s Palace), the Basilica Cathedral (Cathedral Basilica) and the Palacio Municipal (Municipal Palace). Contemporary Lima, we will visit to the most traditional residential areas in the capital: The Olive Grove of San Isidro, Miraflores and Larco Mar, distinctive tourist center of contemporary Lima. Return to hotel. Overnight stay.

Day 10: Lima. After breakfast and at according time private transfer to airport to connect to your return international flight.
