Independent Vacation (min 2 people):

Day 1: Arrival to Iguassu Falls. Arrive to either the Argentinean or Brazilian Domestic Airport today. Private transfer to your hotel of choice included. The rest of the day to relax and unwind after your journey or perhaps discover the town area. Overnight 3 nights in Iguassu at your hotel of choice.

Day 2: Private Tour of the Argentine Falls & Boat Safari. After breakfast - Pick u from your hotel and transfer to the border of Brazil and Argentina, 5-15 km from the hotels, crossing the Iguacu river by the 489 meter long Tancredo Neves bridge. From the border to the falls on the Argentinian side is about 15 km. Arrival at the falls and walk along special pathways and bridges which bring you very close to some of the falls.

From the Argentinian side, one has a nice view of the San Martin island and Brazil. There are two pathways. The upper one takes about 30 minutes and is 700 meters long and the lower one is 1.5 km long and takes 1 to 2 hours. Boat Safari of the Falls: During your visit today, you will embark on an exciting safari boat ride of the Falls for some great views and an unforgettable experience. This is a "must do" and included in our package prices.

Day 3: Private Tour of the Brazilian Falls & Bird Park. Pick up from your hotel after breakfast. Transfer to the waterfalls on the Brazilian side, to a place from where one has a nice view of the falls on the Argentinian side and from where a 1 km long pathway begins. Walking along the pathway through the lush forest, one will see more and more of the falls and it is possible to see some small animals, birds and butterflies. At the end of the pathway are souvenir shops, bathrooms and a bar. Up to the main road by elevator and return transfer to the hotel.

South American Tropical Bird Park: Afterwards today visit the Tropical Bird Park. It is an ecological sanctuary with more than 500 species of birds from Brazil and other countries, as well as some species of reptiles and butterflies. You will walk on a trail through some areas that imitate birds` natural habitat, where you will have the opportunity to take photos very close to them. It’s a great experience for people of all ages.

Day 4: Curitiba & Morretes. In the early morning you will transfer to Iguassu airport for your short flight to Curitiba, the capital of the state and the gateway to Mata Atlantica. Upon arrival you will be met at Curitiba Airport and transferred to the bus Station for a 2 hour journey to Morrentes. Here you will be met by your guide who will take care of your luggage separately and you will begin an easy 2-hour trek along the Rainforest Trail (Itupava Trail) to the lodge in Morretes. Accommodation in the lodge with dinner at the lodge as well as breakfast in the morning.

Day 5: Morretes & Ilha do Mel. From Morretes we head to Paranague, where we board a boat to Ilha do Mel. Overnight 2 nights at the pousada on Ilha do Mel (Honey Island).

Day 6: Ilha do Mel. Walking track to the Enchanted Grotto or to Nossa Senhora dos Prazeres Fortress and beaches. Free afternoon.

Day 7: Ilha do Mel, Curitiba & Florianopolis. Boat trip back to Pontal do Sul. In the afternoon we board the train for an incredible ride across the Atlantic rainforest to Marumbi Peak Station. The "Serra Verde Express" is one of Brazil’s most famous train rides. Upon arrival into Curitiba you will be met and transferred to the bus station for a 3 hour journey to Florianopolis. Upon arrival you will be met by our representation who will transfer you to Campeche Beach. Overnight 4 nights at Pousada Vila Tamarind in your choice of different standard of room.

Day 8: North Florianopolis Island. After breakfast, we will drive to the Pentane do Sul beach, a fishing village which is in the south of the island, the wildest side of Florianopolis, since it is the less explored area by the tourism. From there, we will hike for about 1,5 hour towards the beach that for many is the most beautiful in the island: the Lagoinha do Leste. Beautiful sights along the trail. We will spend some time on the beach, enough for us to gather energy to come back. We suggest a late lunch at the “Ribeirão da Ilha”. This is the oldest district in Floripa, famous for the oysters’ farms. Cozy restaurants with beautiful sea views await you.

Day 9: Day of Leisure. Free day for the beach, or to go shopping, or special interests. For beach lovers, head for Praia Mole or your local beach where you are staying of Campeche (or both). For shoppers there are two large shopping malls in and around the city area.

Day 10: South Florianopolis Island. Today after breakfast we will drive again towards the south of the island, but this time we will stop at the Forest Park of the Peri Lake. This park keeps the largest fresh water lake of the island, and many trails around this lake. We will hike a trail that leads to the Gurita Waterfall. This trail takes approximately 2 hours through a very preserved area of the Atlantic Forest. Once we arrive to the waterfall, we will have the chance to go for a refreshing bath in its clear water.

Day 11: Florianopolis to Rio de Janeiro. Today a private transfer to Brazilian Iguassu Airport for your two hour flight to Rio de Janeiro. Upon Arrival into Rio de Janeiro you will have your private transfer to your hotel. Afternoon at leisure. Rio`s residents thrive on dance, drink, beach, sport and sun. It’s a city of Dionysian spirit whose people live life head-first. Overnight 4 nights in Rio de Janeiro at your hotel of choice.

Day 12: Private Rio de Janeiro Tour. This morning you will be picked up by one of our hand selected guides to take you on an orientation of this great city for 4 hours. If you have any special interests be sure to let us know at time of booking. Any entrance fees must be paid for locally.

Day 13 (or alternate selected day): Your choice of a special experience:

- Rio by Night with a Celebration of Brazilian Culture Dinner & Show

Day 15: Departure from Rio de Janeiro. Half day today (depending on your flight time) before you are transferred to the airport for your flight onto your next destination.
