Day 1: Arrival in Bogota. Welcoming and assistance at the El Dorado airport, transportation to hotel in air-conditioned bus and accompanying guide. Overnight 3 nights in Bogota at your selected hotel.
Day 2: Private City Tour. Panoramic visit to the Bolivar Plaza, Capitol Building, Metropolitan Cathedral, City Hall, La Candelaria neighborhood, Nariño Palace, San Carlos Palace, Columbus Theater, Monserrate Hill and Sanctuary and Botero Museum, where a collection of pre-Columbian ceramic and gold artifacts that reveal the life, culture and history of the ancient inhabitants of Colombia can be seen.
Day 3: Regular Zipaquira and Guatavita. Departure from Bogota to the town of Zipaquirá. Arrival one hour later and visit to the Salt Cathedral which is completely built out of this mineral inside a salt mine at 2, 764 metes above sea level. The Cathedral has a total surface of 8000 m² and consists of three main naves, a presbytery, where the main altar is also built out of salt as is the 16 meters high cross, being one of the world’s marvels. Later continue to Guatavita, passing by the Jaime Duque Park and the town of Sesquile. Lunch on the way to Sesquile. In Guatavita, visit to the Andalusian style town and return to Bogotá via La Calera, where one can enjoy a gorgeous view of the north end of the city.
Day 4: Bogota to Santa Marta. After breakfast you will be collected from your hotel and transferred to the airport for your flight to Santa Marta. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight 4 nights in Santa Marta area at your selected hotel.
Day 5: Private Half Day City Tour. Panoramic tour of El Rodadero, visit to the San Pedro Alejandrino House, the Cathedral, the Tayrona Museum and a handicraft store.
Day 6: Tayrona Park with Coral Reefs and Canaveral. Transportation to Cañaveral, hike through the tropical forest to the coral reef, hike through the beach all the way to the natural pool where guests may swim. Lunch included.
Day 7: Day at Leisure. Today is your to take at your own pace. Choose to do absolutely nothing and enjoy the hotel that you are staying at or optional activities in Santa Marta include Aquarium and Playa Blanca, Tour to Bahía Concha, Tour to Taganga Beach and Playa Grande or a Rumba Chiva ride. Day 8: Santa Marta to Cartagena. After breakfast today you will be picked up from your hotel by shuttle bus. The journey will take approximately five to six hours depending on the traffic. Upon arrival into Cartagena the shuttle will drop you at your hotel. Overnight 4 nights in Cartagena at your selected hotel.
Day 9: Private Half Day San Felipe Castle & La Popa Monastery. Tour of the city traveling through residential neighborhoods along Cartagena Bay, La Popa Monastery: visit to La Popa and its monastery and the Virgen de la Candelaria Chapel. A panoramic view of the city will be admired from this point. Visit to the Castillo de San Felipe de Barajas fortress, the greatest military engineering work of the New World.
Day 10: Daytime of Leisure & Nightime Rumba Chiva. Today, relax and walk around the old town or perhaps chill by the beach. Night time tour in the well-known colored buses known as Chivas, with native rum open bar, music group on board and tasting of Cartagenian fried dishes at a popular place, ending at a discotheque where one can enjoy Cartagena’s night life.
Day 11: Day of Leisure. Today is your to take at your own pace. Choose to do absolutely nothing and enjoy the hotel that you are staying at or optional activities in Cartagena include Visit to Inquisition Palace + San Pedro Claver Church + Heredia Theater, Islas del Rosario Tour, Barú Portonaito Tour, Volcano Tour, Mangrove Swamp Canoe Tour or Tour to the Botanical Garden and visit to the Reptilians Farm. Day 12: Cartagena to San Andres. Today after breakfast you will be collected from your hotel by our representatives to be taken to the airport for your flight to San Andres. The flight will take approximately one and a half hours. Upon arrival into San Adres, our local representative will be on hand to co-ordinate your transfer to your hotel. Overnight 4 nights in San Andres at your hotel of choice.
Day 13: Regular Panoramic Chiva. Fantastic ride around the island to see its natural and unique beauty. Stops at Blowing Hole, Morgan’s Cave, West View natural pool and 10-minute swim at the beautiful San Luis beaches.
Days 14-16: Days at Leisure. San Adres is paradise. We suggest to chill for a relaxing end to your holiday. For those more active, don`t despair as there is plenty to do. Optional activities in San Andres include Tour to Johnny Cay, Morgan’s Galleon, Tour of the Bay in Pontoon, Snorkeling Tour, Manatee Semi-Submarine, Ecological Horseback Ride, Scuba Diving or perhaps one last Rumba en Chiva which are so much fun.
Day 16: Departure from San Andres & Colombia. The best part of today to enjoy the Caribbean paradise before making your way to the airport for your departure transfer in the afternoon.
