Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: Arrival in Bogota. Welcoming and assistance at the El Dorado airport, transportation to hotel in air-conditioned bus and accompanying guide. Overnight 2 nights in Bogota at your selected hotel.
Day 2: Private City Tour. Panoramic visit to the Bolivar Plaza, Capitol Building, Metropolitan Cathedral, City Hall, La Candelaria neighborhood, Nariño Palace, San Carlos Palace, Columbus Theater, Monserrate Hill and Sanctuary and Botero Museum, where a collection of pre-Columbian ceramic and gold artifacts that reveal the life, culture and history of the ancient inhabitants of Colombia can be seen.
Day 3: Bogota to Santa Marta. After breakfast you will be collected from your hotel and transferred to the airport for your flight to Santa Marta. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight 4 nights in Santa Marta area at your selected hotel.
Day 4: Private Half Day City Tour. Panoramic tour of El Rodadero, visit to the San Pedro Alejandrino House, the Cathedral, the Tayrona Museum and a handicraft store.
Day 5: Tayrona Park with Coral Reefs and Canaveral. Transportation to Cañaveral, hike through the tropical forest to the coral reef, hike through the beach all the way to the natural pool where guests may swim. Includes: (L).
Day 6: Day at Leisure. Today is your to take at your own pace. Choose to do absolutely nothing and enjoy the hotel that you are staying at or optional activities in Santa Marta include Aquarium and Playa Blanca, Tour to Bahía Concha, Tour to Taganga Beach and Playa Grande or a Rumba Chiva ride. Ask us for more details if you wish.
Day 7: Santa Marta to Cartagena. After breakfast today you will be picked up from your hotel by shuttle bus. The journey will take approximately five to six hours depending on the traffic. Upon arrival into Cartagena the shuttle will drop you at your hotel. Overnight 3 nights in Cartagena at your selected hotel.
Day 8: Private Half Day San Felipe Castle & La Popa Monastery. Tour of the city traveling through residential neighborhoods along Cartagena Bay, La Popa Monastery: visit to La Popa and its monastery and the Virgen de la Candelaria Chapel. A panoramic view of the city will be admired from this point. Visit to the Castillo de San Felipe de Barajas fortress, the greatest military engineering work of the New World.
Day 9: Daytime of Leisure & Nightime Rumba Chiva. Today, relax and walk around the old town or perhaps chill by the beach. Night time tour in the well-known colored buses known as Chivas, with native rum open bar, music group on board and tasting of Cartagenian fried dishes at a popular place, ending at a discotheque where one can enjoy Cartagena’s night life.
Day 10: Departure from Cartagena & Colombia. The best part of today to enjoy the Caribbean paradise before making your way to the airport for your departure transfer in the afternoon.
