Tour Itinerary:

Day 1: U.S.A. – Tokyo. Depart for Tokyo via All Nippon Airways from San Francisco, Los Angeles, Chicago or New York.

Day 2: Tokyo. Arrive at Tokyo Narita Airport at 6:00 p.m. You will be met by our local representative and taken to your hotel.

Day 3: Tokyo. Morning city tour highlights Tokyo Tower, Imperial Square, Asakusa Kannon Temple, Nakamise Shopping Arcade and Tasaki Pearl Gallery. Afternoon is free. Includes: (B).

Day 4: Tokyo/ Mt. Fuji/ Hakone. Today features a full day excursion to Mt. Fuji. At Mt. Fuji, you will see the Visitor Center. the observatory and 5th Station (~12,500 feet above sea level). Then take a cruise on Lake Ashi. Upon arrival in Hakone Nat’l Park, you take the Aerial Cableway to the top of Mt. Komagatake for a commanding view of Mt. Fuji and Lake Ashi. You arrive at Hakone and check in to your hotel. Includes: (L).

Day 5: Hakone/ Inuyama. This morning, you transfer to Odawara Station to board a Kodama Bullet Train to Nagoya Station. In Nagoya, you catch a local train to Inuyama Station. Lunch is provided in Western style restaurant. This afternoon, visit Inuyama Castle built in 1537 (aka White Emperor’s Castle) and designated as a national treasure. You walk to a nearby pier to start a 1-hour Kiso River cruise via wooden boat to Inuyama City along a stretch called "Nihon Rhine". Once in Inuyama, you check in to your hotel. Tonight, enjoy a traditional Japanese dinner. Includes: (L), (D).

Day 6: Inuyama/ Nagoya/ Kyoto. This morning you will be taken to Noritake Garden, home of world-famous Noritake china, their craft center and the Noritake Museum. Then walk to Toyoto Commemorative Museum of Industry and Technology. Next, we walk to a nearby restaurant for a buffet-style lunch. After lunch, you drive to Nagoya Castle built by leyasu, first of the Tokugawa shoguns in 1612 and famous for the golden dolphins atop the roof of its castle tower. Continue to Tokugawa Museum of Art known for its collection of paintings, swords, rafts items, dyed fabrics and more. Among the collection is the famous Picture Scroll of the Tale of Genji. You will be transferred to Nagoya Station to take a Shinkansen Bullet train to Kyoto. On arrival in Kyoto, you will be taken to your hotel. Includes: (L).

Day 7: Kyoto/ Nara/ Kyoto. You will be transferred by coach in the morning to Golden Pavilion, Nijo Castle and Kyoto Imperial Palace (the Emperor’s Palace until the capital was moved to Tokyo in 1867). Enjoy a buffet lunch at a local restaurant. Visit Nara Park (aka “Deer Park”) where many deer roam around the park. Our final stop will be at Kusuga Shrine founded in 710 A.D. Return to hotel in Kyoto. Includes: (L).

Day 8: Kyoto/ Tokyo. Day is free to explore on your own. You will be transferred to Kyoto Station to take a Shinkansen Bullet Train to Tokyo Station. Upon arrival in Tokyo, you will be taken to your hotel.

Day 9: Tokyo/ Beijing. Depart for Beijing this morning. Upon arrival, you will be taken to your hotel.

Day 10: Beijing. Today features an excursion to the Great Wall and Ming tomb. Tonight, enjoy an amazing Acrobatic Show. Includes: (B), (L), (D).

Day 11: Beijing. Today you visit Forbidden City, Tienanmen Square and the Summer Palace. This evening, you are treated to an authentic Beijing Duck dinner. Includes: (B), (L), (D).

Day 12: Beijing/ Xian. A morning tour of the Temple of Heaven is followed by a special opportunity to meet Beijingers in a traditional home in the old section of Beijing preserved perfectly since the Qing Dynasty. After lunch, you depart for Xian. Upon arrival, you will be met by your guide in Xian and taken to your hotel. Tang Dynasty Show in the evening. Includes: (B), (L), (D).

Day 13: Xian. Full day tour features the Terra Cotta Warriors, Shaanxi Provincial History Museum and the ancient City Wall from the Tang Dynasty. You will be treated to an Imperial Dumpling Banquet this evening. Includes: (B), (L), (D).

Day 14: Xian/ Guilin. Depart for Guilin this morning. Upon arrival, your local guide will take you on a tour of Reed Flute Cave and Elephant Trunk Hill before checking in at your hotel. Includes: (B), (L), (D).

Day 15: Guilin. Today features a full day Li River cruise enjoying great scenic beauty that is known worldwide. Tonight, enjoy a Minority Folk Dance show at dinner. Includes: (B), (L), (D).

Day 16: Guilin/ Shanghai. Depart for Shanghai this morning. Upon arrival, your local guide will take you to your hotel. An afternoon tour of Shanghai includes Yu Garden and the Bund. Includes: (B), (L).

Day 17: Shanghai/ Suzhou/ Shanghai. Today, you day-trip to Suzhou where you visit the Garden of Humble Administrator, Tiger Hill, Lion Grove, and one of China’s best silk embroidery factories. Includes: (B), (L), (D).

Day 18: Shanghai. This morning, you visit the New Shanghai Museum.
Afternoon is free for you to explore Shanghai. Includes: (B), (L).

Day 19: Shanghai/ U.S.A. Transfer to the airport and depart Shanghai. Includes: (B).
