Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: Home/ Nairobi. Depart your hometown for Nairobi.
Day 2: Arrive in Nairobi. Met upon arrival at the airport with our unique and special welcome (cold towels, champagne and presentation of authentic safari hat to every quest). Transfer to the hotel for check-in and overnight.
Day 3: Nairobi/ Ark (Aberdares). Drive north through fertile farmlands to the Aberdare Country Club for lunch. Afternoon transfer to The Ark. Settle in and enjoy views of snow-capped Mt. Kenya as you await the procession of wild animals that come to the floodlit waterhole. After dinner, relax in the lounge by the fireplace or enjoy the game-viewing. A warm jacket or sweater is highly recommended. Includes: (B), (L), (D).
Day 4: Ark/ Mt. Kenya Safari Club. Transfer back to Aberdares Country Club to retrieve stored baggage and rejoin your driver-guide. Depart for Dr. Githae’s African Traditional Clinic in Nyeri town. This is quite an educational experience. Thereafter proceed to Nanyuki enroute to Mount Kenya Safari Club with a brief stop at the Equator to arrive in time for lunch. Afternoon at leisure to enjoy facilities offered at the Club. Dinner and overnight at the Club. Includes: (B), (L), (D).
Day 5: Mt. Kenya Safari Club/ Lake Nakuru. After breakfast, depart for Thompson’s Falls. Arrive at the lodge. After lunch, depart for the afternoon game viewing and bird watching drive with a visit to the shores of the lake where you may walk with millions of flamingos. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight. Includes: (B), (L), (D).
Day 6: Lake Nakuru/ Masai Mara. Enjoy an early breakfast and depart for the famed Masai Mara to arrive for a late lunch at the lodge / camp. Afternoon proceed on an exciting game-viewing drive. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight. Includes: (B), (L), (D).
Day 7: Masai Mara. Full day in the Masai Mara with morning and afternoon game-viewing drives including a visit to Masai Village. Optional activity: Dawn Balloon Safari over the Mara Plains ending with a champagne breakfast. Includes: (B), (L), (D).
Day 8: Masai Mara/ Serengetti. Awake early to enjoy a sumptuous breakfast before heading south towards the border of Kenya and Tanzania. We’ll continue with our journey passing the Mara River and stop at a picnic site to enjoy lunch. Continue with a game-viewing drive to the lodge / camp. Dinner and overnight at the lodge. Includes: (B), (L), (D).
Day 9: Serengeti. Full day in the Serengeti with game-viewing drives. Includes: (B), (L), (D).
Day 10: Serengeti/ Ngorongoro. After breakfast, depart for the Oldupai Gorge where hominid footprints believed to be 3.6 million years old were found. We will enjoy an on-site talk by the resident guide. Proceed towards the rim of the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater to admire the breath-taking vista. After lunch, just relax and enjoy the panoramic views of the crater. Dinner and overnight. Includes: (B), (L), (D).
Day 11: Ngorongoro. After breakfast and, depending on our time slot, descend some 2000 feet into the crater, which is home to an abundance of wildlife and a photogenic paradise, for half day of game-viewing drive. Includes: (B), (L), (D).
Day 12: Ngorongoro/ Lake Manyara. After breakfast, depart to Lake Manyara. After lunch, proceed for game drive. Dinner and overnight. Includes: (B), (L), (D).
Day 13: Lake Manayara/ Arusha/ Zanzibar. After breakfast, drive to Arusha for lunch. After lunch, transfer to Arusha Airport for a fl ight to Zanzibar. Upon arrival, check in at Zanzibar Serena Inn. Includes: (B).
Day 14: Zanzibar. Full day is at leisure for optional activities. Includes: (B).
Day 15: Zanzibar/ Dar es Salaam. Breakfast at hotel. Check out at 10:00 a.m. Transfer to harbor for first class ferry to Dar es Salaam. Upon arrival, transfer to Holiday Inn for check-in. Afternoon is at leisure. Includes: (B).
Day 16: Dar es Salaam/ Home. Breakfast at the hotel. You will be transferred to airport for your home bound flight. Includes: (B).
