Day 1: Home/ Cape Town. Depart your hometown for Cape Town.
Day 2: Cape Town. Upon arrival at Cape Town airport, you will be met by our local representative and taken to your hotel. Day is at leisure. Dinner at hotel. Includes: (D).
Day 3: Cape Town. Depart after breakfast for a morning city tour that will include Table Mountain (weather permitting). Drive through the colorful ‘Bo-Kaap’ suburb, once the home to the Malay slaves. Drive past the Houses of Parliament and stop in the Waterfront. Lunch at Hildebrand Restaurant. Afternoon is spent exploring the Waterfront shops and scenic areas. Option: 3 hour excursion to Robben Island ($25) National Heritage Museum and former prison home of Nelson Mandela. Includes: (B), (L).
Day 4: Cape Peninsula. Depart for a full day circular tour of the Cape Peninsula. Stops include a cruise on the nautical launch to see the Cape fur seals on Duiker Island, and the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve and Cape Point. Linefish lunch at Bertha’s Grill. Return to hotel. Includes: (B), (L).
Day 5: Cape Town/ Mossel Bay/ Oudtshoorn. Depart the hotel after early breakfast and drive to the NS National road to drive to Mossel Bay. Enjoy lunch at The Gannet Restaurant. Visit the Maritime Museum featuring the Diaz Caravel. Drive over the Robinson Pass to Oudtshoorn. Overnight at the Oudtshoorn Hotel. Includes: (B), (L).
Day 6: Oudtshoorn/ Knysna. Depart after breakfast and visit the Cango Caves deep in the Swartberg Mountains. Take in an informative tour at the Cango Wildlife Ranch. Lunch at Safari Show Farm and have a tour of the ostrich farm. Drive over the Outeniqua Mountains through George to Knysna. Overnight at the Protea Hotel Knysna Quays. Includes: (B), (L).
Day 7: Knysna. Depart for an excursion to the Tsitsikamma. National Park where lunch is enjoyed near the mouth of the Storms River. If time permits, visit the colorful village of Tsitsikamma or visit the bridge over the Storms River. Lunch at Jabulani. Balance of the day is free. Knysna is famous for the quaint boutiques and galleries. Includes: (B), (L).
Day 8: Knysna/ George/ Durban. Depart the hotel after breakfast and transfer to George airport. Fly to Durban. Lunch is at the famous Fish Company. Enjoy an orientation tour of the city. Overnight at the Pretoria Hotel Edward or similar. Includes: (B), (L).
Day 9: Durban/ Shakaland. Morning is at leisure. In the afternoon, depart for the cultural heartland of South Africa, Shakaland. Check in to Shakaland Cultural Village. Tour the village and learn all about the great Zulu nation and its traditions. Includes: (B), (D).
Day 10: Shakaland/ Hluhluwe. After breakfast, drive to the traditional home of the once-endangered white rhino. Lunch is at Ubizane Tree Lodge. In the afternoon, enjoy game drive in the Hluhluwe Game Reserve. Dinner at Ubizane Tree Lodge. Includes: (B), (L), (D).
Day 11: Hluhluwe/ Swaziland/ Nelspruit. Depart the lodge and drive through the independent Kingdom of Swaziland. Have lunch at the Lugogo Sun Hotel. Continue over the mountains through Piggs Peak and depart Swaziland. Drive to the capital of the Mpumalanga Province, Nelspruit. Overnight at the Mercure Nelspruit or similar. Includes: (B), (L).
Day 12: Nelspruit/ Lukimbi. After an early breakfast, drive into the Kruger National Park. Lunch at the Lukimbi Game Lodge. Enjoy an open vehicle game drive. Dinner and overnight at the Lukimbi
Game Lodge. Includes: (B), (L), (D).
Day 13: Lumimbi/ Panorama Route/ Pilgrims Rest. In the morning, drive out of the park to the Panorama Route. Lunch stop will be made at Graskp area. With some scenic stops on the Panorama Route and arrive at Pilgrims Rest. Dinner and overnight at the Royal Hotel Pilgrims Rest or Aventura Blydepoort. Includes: (B), (D).
Day 14: Pilgrims Rest/ Johannesburg. Depart Pilgrims Rest and drive to the ‘Highveld’ area and drive the industrial hub of Gauteng Province. Lunch is provided at Irene Country Lodge. Have an afternoon tour of Pretoria stopping at the Union Buildings, Kruger House and Melrose House. Check in to your hotel.
Day 15: Johannesburg. Tour of Johannesburg will include Gold Reef City and the Aparttheid Museum. Explore the Sandton area. Afternoon is free for some last minute souvenir shopping before returning to the hotel. Dinner at the hotel. Includes: (B), (D).
Day 16: Johannesburg/ Home. Breakfast at the hotel. Day is open until the time of transfer for your flight. Upon arrival at the airport, you will be assisted by our local airport representative for your baggage and check in.
