This is simply the most humbling and powerful place on earth, and a sea kayaking holiday in Antarctica is an experience not to be missed. Every day holds new wonders, from face to face encounters with whales, penguins and seals to serene paddles among brash ice and through narrow fjords dwarfed by enormous Antarctic icebergs. These polar kayaking adventures take place on an Antarctic cruise aboard the mother-ship Polar Pioneer, home to our fleet of sturdy plastic kayaks. Antarctica is truly a wild place of indescribable beauty. If you choose to paddle with us in Antarctica, you'll be a member of a small select paddling group that is accompanied by a dedicated kayak guide. You'll have the option to kayak every day that conditions permit - or even twice a day - while you are in the Peninsula. These are small-ship expedition cruises and each Antarctic sea kayaking trip is guaranteed to have new and exciting experiences. Tour Itinerary Itineraries vary, the 10 day voyages are either in or out of King George Island and start or finish in Ushuaia, Argentina. The 12 day itineraries are sail only, beginning and ending in Ushuaia. An example of a 10 day itinerary follows: DAY 1: Fly from Punta Arenas, Chile, to King George Island in the South Shetland Islands. Board Polar Pioneer. Meet kayak guide for briefing. DAYS 2-7: Daily paddles along the west side of the Antarctic Peninsula. DAYS 8-9: At sea. DAY 10: Beagle Channel, disembark Ushuaia. Trip concludes.
