Day 1: Addis Ababa/ Dessie. Drive Addis Ababa to Dessie via Tarma ber Tunnel, stop for photo stop at Gemasa Valley. O/N. Hotel. Day 2: Lalibela. Drive Dessie to Lalibela. Enroute visit Haik Stephen Monastery. O/N. Hotel. Day 3: Rock Churches of Lalibela. Explore the 11 Rock hewn rock hewn churches of Lalibela chiizelled in the 12th and 13th century. O/N. Hotel. Day 4: Makalle. Drive Lalibela to Makalle. Enjoy with the surrounding scenery and spot so many Baobab trees. O/N. Hotel. Day 5: Makalle/ Axum. Drive to Axum on the way, Wukro Cherkos, have a stop also at- Negash-the first Muslim settlement in Ethiopia. Lunch in Adigrat. Visit Yeha temple. O/N. Hotel. Day 6: Exploring the Ancient City. Visit Axum Archaeological museum, Axum St. Mary of Zion, Axum obelisk compound, tombs of Remhay, Palaces and burial Place for the King Kaleb and Gebre Meskal, Inscription of Ezana, Visit “Maishum”- the bathing pool for Queen Sheba, “Danghur”- the palace for the Queen. O/N. Hotel Day 7: Head/ Semen Park. Drive to Semen Park. Pass through the winding and scenic mountain of Limalimo. Process the Entry permit and local scout and drive to Debark. Spot, an endemic Gelada Baboons are the easiest animal to meet. O/N. Lodge. Day 8: Semen Park/ Gonder. Drive to Gonder the 17th-18th capital city for Ethiopia. Explore the city of Gonder. O/N. Hotel. Day 9: Bahir Dar and city tour. Drive to Bahir Dar. Visit Bezawit view and Market. O/N. Hotel Day 10: Island Monasteries and Blue Nile Fall. Visit the island churches including Ura Kidanemeheret and Azewa Mariam. P.m. Drive to Blue Nile Fall O/N. Hotel. Day 11: Debre Markos. Very short time in Bahir Dar then drive to Debre Markos. Enjoy with the surrounding villages and rural life style. O/N. Hotel. Day 12: Blue Nile Gorge and Addis Ababa. Leave the city for the drive back to Addis Ababa through Blue Nile Gorge which according to some scholars is similar in scale with the Grand Canyon in America. Visiting the Jemma Valley and the Monastery of Debre Libanos are also other activities of the day. O/N. Hotel. Day 13: City tour and Departure. City tour of Addis Ababa, then depart. Notes:
