Day 1: Addis Ababa / Dessie. Drive Addis Ababa to Dessie. Pass thru Mossoloni’s Tunnel, Enjoy with the surrounding villages and sceneries. O/N. Hotel. Day 2: Dessie / Lalibela. Drive Dessie to Lalibela. Haik Lake and Haik Estephen Monastery will be explored. O/N. Hotel. Day 3: Rock churches of Lalibala. Explore the 12th & 13th century Rock Churches of Lalibela. The churches are 11 in number grouped into three and you will explore the first group of the churches before lunch time. The second groups of the churches the Cross-shaped church of St. George will be covered in the afternoon. O/N. Hotel. Day 4: Lalibela - Mekalle. Drive Lalibela to Makalle. Enjoy with the surrounding scenery and spot so many Baobab trees. O/N. Hotel. Day 5: Drive Makalle - Amedeilla. Drive Addis Ababa to Amedeilla via Braille. On the way camel caravans. O/N. Camping. Day 6: Dallol. Excursion to the salt Workers, Dallol’s Sulpher Zone, Salt Canyon and Yellow Lake. O/N. Camping. Day 7: Dallol / Ert-Ale. Amedeilla to Ert-ale via Kusruwad. Late in the afternoon start walking to climb Ert-Ale Mountain. Spent the night by admiring and taking pictures the Volcano. Take a rest.. Day 8: Ert-Ale / Amedeilla. Return back to Amedeilla. O/N. Camping. Day 9: Amedeilla / Makalle. Drive Amedeilla to Mekalle. Spot the camel caravans. O/N. Hotel. Day 10: Makalle / Axum. Drive to Axum. Visit Wukrocherkos, Negash Mosque and Yeha Temple. O/N. Hotel. Day 11: Exploring the Ancient City. Today activity in Axum includes visiting of Axum Archaeological museum, Axum St. Mary of Zion, Axum obelisk compound, tombs of Remhay, Palaces and burial Place for the King Kaleb and Gebre Meskal, Inscription of Ezana. Also visit “Maishum”- the bathing pool for Queen Sheba, “Danghur”- the palace for the Queen. O/N. Hotel. Day 13: Head / Semen Park. Drive to Semen park via Tekezze valley and Limalimo winding road. Spot an endemic Gelada Baboon. O/N. Lodge. Day 14: Semen Park / Gonder. Drive to Gonder the 17th-18th capital city for Ethiopia through Woleka and Kosoye. Visit the royal palaces of Gonder and Debre Birhan Selassie church. O/N. Hotel. Day 14: Bahir Dar & city Tour. Drive to Bahir Dar. Visit the Market place and Bezawit hill with its view. O/N. Hotel. Day 15: Island Monasteries & Blue Nile Fall. We onboard on a motor boat to make an excursion trip to some of the island churches of the Lake. Visit the 14th century church of Ura Kidanameheret and Azewa Mariam. While cruising back to Bahir Day, spot the place where The Majestic Blue Nile River goodbye the lake for its journey to Khartoum and Alexandria. After lunch, we’ll make an excursion trip to Blue Nile fall. O/N. Hotel Day 16: Debre Markos. Very short time in Bahir Dar then drive to Debre Markos. Enjoy with the surrounding villages and rural life style. O/N. Hotel. Day 17: Blue Nile Gorge / Addis Ababa. Pass through Bleu Nile Gorge for the drive to Addis Ababa. Visit Monastery of Debre Libanos are also other activities of the day. O/N. Hotel. Day 18: City Tour & Departure. City tour and Depart after taking your dinner and enjoying live traditional music.
