Day 1: Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport. Meet and greet at the Airport and then transfer to Mt. Meru Game Lodge for dinner and overnight. Includes: (HB).
Day 2: Arusha - Lake Manyara National Park. After Safari briefing at the lodge, clients safari starts to Mto wa Mbu, where clients can buy papayas, mangoes, bananas and other exotic fruits. Game drives Lake Manyara National Park. Dinner and Overnight: Lake Manyara Serena Safari Lodge.
Day 3: Lake Manyara National Park - Ngorongoro Crater. Drive to Ngorongoro Crater. After lunch you will experience the great variety and density of animals in the second largest Caldera on earth. The most beautiful game-drives you may experience in the late afternoon: Most of the people have left the crater-floor, the light gets soft and the activity of the wild animals increases. Please have a sufficient quantity of film-rolls with you! You will take more pictures of this fantastic African landscape, flora and fauna than you have ever expected. Dinner and Overnight: Ngorongoro Serena Safari Lodge. Includes: (FB).
Days 4 & 5: Naasera Rock
Passing Ngorongoro crater rim you descend through a really impressive landscape down to Oldupai Gorge. There clients will find the most complete and eldest proofs of human development. Stop for the information about the cradle of mankind! Continuing to the North to lonesome areas. We will build up our camp at Gol Mountains. With 2 Maasai guides you will start an one hour walk through Olkarien Gorge. Excursion to the Fig tree (if you clients wish to): Drive on dusty, nearly never used trails to the north - an excursion into a lost wilderness. Clients will find a fig tree in untouched Maasai land, north of Oldupai and close to the Gol Mountains. Even if clients are not so interested in trees, this tree might tell clients about the last 1000 years.
We found this tree about 14 years ago and used to talk for hours with him. We are proud to show our lonely friend and you will not forget this “cathedral of a tree”! Important: The track to the Fig tree is extremely dusty and impassable if it is raining in the area. Maybe clients will also meet the Great Migration there. By rainfalls this excursion could become a real adventure. Dinner and Overnight at a Special Campsite Nasera Rock. includes: (FB).
Days 6–11: Nasera Rock - Serengeti National Park
Giant dust clouds show you the way through the endless plains of the Serengeti. To your left the eldest and deeply eroded Gol Mountains and in front the raise of the volcano Empakai, Olmoti, Loolmalassin, Ngorongoro, Oldeani, Lemagrut and Sadiman, which form a huge crater highland. Clients will have plenty of time to explore the Serengeti, one of the most beautiful National Parks in the world with an incredible Wildlife. Clients journey is adapted to your travel period: in this season normally approx. 2.5 million animals are on their “Great Migration” into southern Serengeti! According to the rainfalls in these months the herds move southwards. Clients will have the chance to participate in this worldwide unique spectacle! As our safaris have no limit of mileage and time, you will get to know the Serengeti in total - you will therefore also visit Ngong Hill and Moru Kopjes - known as “Islands in the Sea of Grass”. Clients take there time to have a look, rest and enjoy! Dinner and Overnight: Serengeti Serena Safari Lodge / Serena Mbuzi Mawe Luxury Tented Lodge.
Day 12: Serengeti National Park – Arusha. After a last morning game drive clients will be transferred to Seronera Airstrip for clients amazing flight over Serengeti, the Crater Highlands of Ngorongoro and the Rift Valley back to Arusha. Pick up at Arusha Airport and transfer according clients following program. Includes: (HB).
