Tour Itinerary: Day 0: Arrival. Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport, Tanzania at 8:05pm. Meet our professional tour guides, drivers and staff, who will meet you with smiling faces. They will transport you to KIA Lodge, 1 mile from the airport. The hotel is very nice. Amenities include a pool, African architecture, restaurant and veranda. The grounds are very well landscaped, and attract a large variety of native birds. On clear days you can see Mt. Kilimanjaro. Accommodation: KIA (Kilimanjaro International Airport) Lodge. Day 1: Safari from KIA to Tarangire National Park. After an early breakfast, you will depart for Arusha and then on to Tarangire National Park. On a clear day you will see Mt. Kilimanjaro, Mt. Meru, and lots of culture and scenery. The birds in Tarangire are fantastic! You will not be disappointed. You will spend a lot of the day in transit to your destination. Accommodation: Serena Lodge, Lake Manyara. Day 2: Birding at Lake ManYara. Leave for an early walking safari in Lake Manyara National Park for game viewing. Enjoy the unique ecosystem of forest and wetlands. After a short picnic, proceed with wildlife viewing. Return to Wild Africa Lodge for swimming and watch the sun set at 6:00pm Accommodation: Serena Lodge, Lake Manyara. Day 3: Safari into Ngorongoro Crater. Leave in the early morning to see the 8th Wonder of the World, the Ngorongoro Crater. The crater “captures” thousands upon thousands of animals which have remained in this perfect ecosystem on the crater floor. You will likely see the “Big 5,” including rhino, lion, elephant, buffalo and leopard. The crater floor has a small lake where pink flamingos congregate. Large predatory birds are abundant Accommodation: Serena Lodge, Ngorongoro Days 4-6: Serengeti Predators Tour. Tour through Maasai territory, and see wonderful landscapes. See the geology and wonders of the Rift Valley and arrive at the famous Serengeti National Park. The Serengeti is famous for it’s vast expanse of land and animals. It is here that you will likely see cheetah, leopard, and other cats. The Serengeti is also the hub for the “Great Migration” of wildebeest, zebra, and other animals. During certain times of the year you will encounter hundreds of thousands of animals. Accommodation: Serena lodge or Mbalageti Luxury Tented camp. Day 7: Serengeti- Arusha. On you last day Fly back through Regional Air to Arusha airport. Accommodation: Impala hotel. Day 8: Arusha Snake Park and Shopping. After breakfast, have a relaxing morning and swim until 10:30am. There is a great Reptile Park where you can see the reptiles of Tanzania including crocodiles! Ride camels there too! Or, there is a Maasai museum you may prefer to visit. Shop for souvenirs and gemstones in Arusha. Visit the downtown farmers market for a real cultural experience. Tour around and see how African life is in the “big city”. Visit an ATM machine if necessary and change money. Accommodation: Ngurdoto hotel. Day 9: Departures: Flight from Kilimanjaro intl. Relax at hotel and play golf while waiting for your flight. In the evening, you will be transported to your flight from Kilimanjaro International Airport, or from Nairobi if necessary. Note: Golf is optional. Notes: Price Excludes:
