Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: Nairobi – Lake Nakuru Pick up from Jomo Kenyatta Airport or from your hotel in Nairobi. Drive via the ridge of the Great Rift Valley to Lake Nakuru National Park, famous for its huge amount of flamingos and its growing black and white rhino population since it is Kenya's most famous Rhino Sanctuary. It is also the best place to see the rare Rothschild giraffes. Afternoon game drive along the lake shores searching for warthog families, antelopes, zebras and buffalos. D/FB Bush Trucker Tours mobile tented camp private campsite, Lake Nakuru Lodge or Lion Hill Lodge. Days 2 & 3: Lake Nakuru: Early morning game drive in search of rhinos. White rhinos are easy to observe, but we will also take the challenge of tracking down black rhinos. Afternoon game drive in search of one of the residential leopards. D/FB Bush Trucker Tours mobile tented camp private campsite, Lake Nakuru Lodge or Lion Hill Lodge Day 4: Lake Nakuru – Lake Naivasha. Leaving Nakuru after breakfast you will reach Naivasha after 1 1/2 hours. Enjoy a 1 hour boat ride on this fresh water lake to see hippos and birds. Lunch at Elsamere the former home of George and Joy Adamson and the lioness Elsa. At Crater Lake guide will escort you on your walk through the volcano and up on its rim from where you have a great view while enjoying your sundowner. After dinner you will experience a night game drive to detect nocturnal animals such as antvark, porcupine, genet, spring hares, owls and others. D/FB Crater Lake Tented Camp Day 5: Lake Naivasha – Masai Mara. Early morning departure, for a strenuous, but beautiful drive to the Masai Mara National Reserve. Lunch at Camp or lodge and game drive in the later afternoon. D/FB Bush Trucker Camp Sand or Mara River or Keekorok Lodge or Basecamp or any of your wish. Days 6 – 9: Masai Mara Game drives throughout the Masai Mara. The first day we will locate where wildebeests are gathering in large groups near the Mara River - ready to cross. Once we have found a "ready to cross" group we shall stay with them in expectation of watching this spectacle. Up to now most of our groups have had the luck to watch, film and/or photograph this highlight. The chances to come across a kill are also very high. Nevertheless there is plenty of time for all kind of game watching and as said before - Mara is at its best in abundance of wildlife during migration time. D/FB Bush Trucker Camp Sand or Mara River or Keekorok Lodge or Basecamp or any of your wish. Day 10: Return to Nairobi. leisure drive back to Nairobi with lunch on the way or direct flight to the coast to spend some days at the beach in Mombasa or Watamu or visit an other game park.
