Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: Bwindi Gorilla Sanctuary. Morning departure for the south with stops at the craft village at the Uganda Equator for pictures and shopping. Continue to Mbarara for lunch and thereafter, transfer to the Gorilla Jungle of Bwindi. Check in at Sanctuary Lodges - GFCor Buhoma Lodge for dinner and overnight. Includes: (B), (L), (D). Day 2: After breakfast, you will report at the park offices for a briefing by the ranger guides beginning the trek. It ranges from 30 mins – 8 hrs to find the Mountain Gorillas, after an hour with the Gorillas, a picnic lunch in the forest, return for refreshment, dinner and overnight at the Sanctuary Lodges - GFC or Buhoma Lodge. Includes: (B), (L), (D). Day 3: After breakfast, transfer to Virunga Volcanoes Park for another trek of the Gorillas. These “Gorillas in the Mist” share a home with Dian Fossey’s grave, who stayed with them for 20 years, and is the cradle for the popular “Gorillas in the Mist” film. Transfer to Mount Gorilla Nest Lodge or Garisuka Guest House for meals and overnight. Includes: (B), (L), (D). Day 4: After breakfast, transfer to the mountain for the Gorilla trek. After picnic lunches and drinks in the forest, an hour with the Gorillas, depart for Hotel Des MilleCollines in Kigali for dinner and overnight. Includes: (B), (L), (D).
