Tour Itinerary:

Day 1: Depart from home.

Day 2: Nairobi – Masai Mara. We meet you at the international airport and direct transfer to the local airport for your flight to the Masai Mara, where your driver awaits you. Drive to the camp, lunch and game drive in the later afternoon. Mobile tented camp, Basecamp or where you wish to stay.

Days 3 & 4: Masai Mara. 2 half day game drives with lunch in the camp or full day game drives with pick nick lunch to explore the Masai Mara and to follow the large herds and their predators. If you are lucky you see them crossing the Mara river. Mobile tented camp, Basecamp or where you wish to stay.

Day 5: Masai Mara - Naivasha / Crater Lake. We leave after breakfast to get to Elsamere for lunch. Just after you enjoy a 2 hours boat ride to watch the hippo families and the different bird species. Proceed to Crater Lake and go for a guided walk through the crater and on top of its rim for sundowner. During the walk you can come across black and white colobus, Elenantelopes, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, warthogs and many more. On the night game drive after dinner you might see White-tailed mongoose, spring hare, bush babies, hyaenas, genets, porcupines, aardvarks a.o. Overnight Crater Lake Lodge

Day 6: Naivasha - Lake Bogoria. In the early morning light you drive through Hell's Gate National park framed by tall basalt lava walls. Proceed to the northern hemisphare to Bogoria. After lunch in the hotel and a short siesta drive to the near by game reserve. With a bit of luck you encounter the Greater Kudus. Overnight Lake Bogoria Hotel.

Day 7: Bogoria – Aberdares National Park. For lunch we reach Outspan Hotel. Later in the afternoon transfer to the night observation lodge where you have the opportunity to see nocturnal animals. You can fill a list with your wishes and when the particular animal shows up you will be called. Overnight Treetops Lodge or Fishing Lodge (Bandas).

Day 8: Aberdares. Today's program depends on the weather and road condition. But in any way you will get an impression of the different vegetation belts and the highlands as well as the water falls. Animals: bush and reed buck, buffaloes, elephants, etc. Overnight Outspan Hotel or Fishing Lodge (Bandas).

Day 9: Aberdares – Meru National Park. Passing Mt. Kenya in the West you come through Meru town and descend to the National park. The lodge is in the middle of the wilderness. Enjoy your lunch and your afternoon game drive. Overnight: Mobile tented camp, Offbeat Safari Camp or Leopard Rock Lodge.

Day 10: Meru. We follow rivers and pass open plains to encounter the inhabitants of this typical commiphora-acacia bush land. You might see Lesser and Greater Kudu, elephants, lion, cheetah, buffaloes, grant gazelles, grevy and plain zebras, reticulated giraffes etc. Overnight: Mobile tented camp, Offbeat Safari Camp or Leopard Rock Lodge.

Day 11: Meru – Shaba National reserve. Via Meru and Isiolo we get to Shaba National reserve. You might see one of Kenya's fantastic sunsets colouring the tall hills orange. Overnight Sarova Shaba Lodge.

Day 12: Shaba – Samburu / Buffalo Springs National Reservat. We stay along the Ewaso Nyiro Flusses and see animals on our transfer. Lunch in the camp, where you have many chances to see animals coming to drink. Game drive later in the afternoon. Overnight: Mobile tented camp or any of the lodges/camps.

Day 13: Samburu / Buffalo Springs National Reservat. We undertake extended game drives on both sides of the river. You might observe elephants, Oryx antilopes, Gerenuks and reticulated giraffes as well as lions, cheetahs and Leopards. Overnight: Mobile tented camp or any of the lodges/camps.

Day 14: Samburu – Nairobi. Depending on your wish we drive or fly back to Nairobi. Lunch on the way or in Nairobi. Later transfer to the airport for your departure flight. The best period for the migration is end of July until beginning of November. But at any other time you have great opportunities for animal observations.
