This safari gives you good impression of wildlife in the northern districts of Kenya. In it reside species not to be found elsewhere in Africa like Grevy zebra, reticulated giraffe, Beisa oryx and blue-shanked Somali ostrich. Samburu and Buffalo Springs Game Reserve lie in a semi-arid, open savannah plain broken occasionally by small rugged hills. Meru National Park is outside of Kenya perhaps best known as “Elsa” country. Joy and George Adamson played a big role in founding these protected areas. The park lies in a broad plain dissected by numerous streams, which join up with Tana River that forms the parks Southern boundary. The abounding in watercourses renders biotopes for over 300 bird species.
