View at close quarters, the image of elephant silhouettes against the lush grassy plains against the backdrop of the snow-capped Mount Kilimanjaro, which is familiar even to the un-travelled. Later, experience the true hospitality of the fierce yet gentle warrior Maasai in their villages within the Park. At the Elsamere Educational Centre, you may learn something interesting about the Lake Naivasha ecosystem, before you take a boat ride in this fresh water lake. Finally, visit the Maasai Mara Game reserve home of the annual 'Great Migration' of thousands of wildebeest, zebra, giraffe, buffalo, gazelle and other herbivores which has been described as Africa’s greatest wildlife spectacle.

Tour Itinerary:

Day :1 Nairobi. You will be picked up from the airport and transferred to The Methodist Guest House, a peaceful retreat in the suburbs of Nairobi, or to a similar guesthouse for an overnight stay on bed & breakfast basis.

Day 2: Nairobi – Amboseli

After breakfast you will be picked up at 0730hrs and drive south towards the border of Kenya and Tanzania into Amboseli National Park, which lies approximately 260km away from Nairobi. This park with stunning views of the majestic, snow capped Mount Kilimanjaro is the 2nd most visited game reserve after the Maasai Mara. This game reserve has a large elephant population roaming amongst has lions, buffalos, giraffes, zebras, hyenas and many other animals. It also has a rich birdlife and you can expect to see pelicans, bee-eaters, kingfishers and many types of eagles. You arrive in time for lunch at a lodge within the park after which you will proceed on a game drive and later dine and spend the night within the park.

Day 3: Amboseli. Spend the whole day viewing game and exploring this small beautiful reserve that has an endless underground water supply filtered through thousands of feet of volcanic rock. The Maasai share the land with the wildlife in the surrounding areas and you will have the chance of visiting one of their villages to experience their culture. Later you will return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 4: Amboseli – Lake Naivasha. After breakfast, you will depart from Amboseli and head for Naivasha, the only fresh water lake in the Rift Valley and an internationally recognised Important Birding Area (IBA). You will have Lunch at Elsamere Educational centre, a conservation centre focusing on lake ecology and environmental awareness programs. Elsamere was also home to the world famous Joy Adamson of the born free movie. Evening boat ride on Lake Naivasha. Dinner and overnight at Elsamere.

Day 5: Naivasha – Maasai Mara. Depart from Naivasha and drive south to the world famous Maasai Mara arriving in time for lunch at your lodge. Evening game drive at this reserve parked with the big five, birds and other small animals. Return to the lodge after 6 pm for dinner and overnight.

Day 6: Maasai Mara. A full day of game drives and picnic lunch to allow you to explore the park to the maximum. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 7: Maasai Mara – Nairobi. A final early morning game drive for those who can rise at the crack of dawn. (Early morning and evenings are the best time to catch the predators in action.) After the game drive, we will have breakfast at leisure before setting off for Nairobi. We arrive early evening and you will be dropped off at your hotel or at the airport to catch your flight back home.

Airfare is not included in the tour price.

Cost per person sharing varies depending on your choice of either camping or lodge option.
