The Champagne-Ardennes region is located only 1.5 hours from Paris. Known as the area where French and German forces fought during World War I, this region is also - of course - home to production of real, true champagne! Learn more about this sparkling French wine on the Champagne tour.
Your tour first travels to Reims, making a cellar visit in Taittinger. This house has great wine and a nice atmosphere. The cellar is not too big or crowded and you will be fascinated by its history as it relates to the city of Reims. After visiting the cellar you could taste their wine and enjoy very affordable shopping. For lunch, head to the Drouet d'Erlon square. The "Remois" (the inhabitants of Reims) consider this restaurant a favorite spot for lunch and dinner. Your guide will also point out another local favorite restaurant named "le Gaulois." This lovely restaurant is decorated in the Art Deco style like most of the city of Reims. In the afternoon, you will continue to Epernay, situated 30 minutes from Reims. This is the "place to be" for Champagne, as this is where most of the grapes are produced. During summer in Epernay you can see an ocean of grapes on Epernay. Here, you will visit Moet et Chandon's cellar, which produces one of the best Champagnes in France. After your day of champagne tasting, you'll be returned to Paris at approximately 19:00. Notes: This is the usual price for a Champagne Tour with a big bus. For the same price, enjoy your private tour, fully customizable, your private guide and your private brand-new vehicle. Enjoy being treated like a guest!
