- September – December - March - May. Mt. Kanchenjunga, the world’s third highest peak offers a spectacular scenery and joy of being there. This region offers an endless variety of culture and changing countryside as it proceeds from the river - growing districts through terraced fields, forests of birch, bamboo and rhododendron that eventually turn to stands of fir and hemlock as one climbs higher intro the mountains. Himalayan bear, barking deer and the lesser panda are among the rich animal and bird life that fill the area. Kanchenjunga, Makalu and the spectacular Jannu are among the peaks at the outset of the trek. Passing through villages of Brahmins and Chhetries, you enter almost exclusive Rai and Limbu territory with a scatter of Gurung and Sherpa settlements. A special trekking permit is needed and only Camp Trek is available in this region. World famous trek in the Kanchenjunga area, the Kanchenjunga Base Camp Trek is great walking through some beautiful glaciers. Glaciers, themselves are subjects of challenge to cope with by the trekkers. Nevertheless, not only that, we will completely explore you to the unknown. One should have an enthusiasm to experience the difference that can be found nowhere else in the world. This is a paradise for the adventure lovers. The Kanchenjunga area trekking starts in the year 1988. The Kanchenjunga region is the home of the Limbus. Relatives of Rais, Limbus dominate the region east of the Arun Kosi and few lives elsewhere. During this trek, one is bound to have an unforgettable experience of difference that cannot be found elsewhere in the world. This trekking is considered as the paradise for the adventure lovers. Tour Itinerary: Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu & Transfer to Hotel O/N Hotel Day 2: Prepare for trek & afternoon fly to Biratnagar O/N Hotel Day: 3: Fly to Suketar & trek to Lalikharka O/N Camp, 2300m (3hours) 8km Day 4: Trek to Sinchewa Bhanjyanh or Kadevanjunga O/N Camp, 2135m (4 to 5 hours) 10km Day 5: Trek to Mamangkhe O/N Camp, 1720m (4 to 5 hours) 8km Day 6: Trek to Yamphudin O/N Camp, 1975m (4 to 5 hours) 10km Day 7: Trek to Amjekhola O/N Camp, 2780m (4 to 5 hours) 6km Day 8: Trek to Torongtan O/N Camp, 3060m (4 to 5 hours) 9km Day 9: Trek to Tserm O/N Camp, 3870m (4 to 4 ½ hours) 9km Day 10: Rest day at Tserm O/N Camp. In 1955 Tseram was chosen there acclimatization camp by the British Expedition that went to make first ascent to Kanchenjunga. Day 11: Trek to Ramze O/N Camp, 4615m (3 to 4 hours) 8km. Ramze: is the uppermost yak grazing pasture in the Yalung, s ablation valley, bounded by a high curving moraine wall to east and south, and overlooked from the north successful Expedition, 1955. Day 12: Early morning site trip to Oktang for view to Kanchenjunga south. Eventually this path you to a chorten topped with prayer flags, this is Oktang (4780m) and it makes a splendid view point from which to study a great collection of high mountains. Then return to camp by same route then lunch. After lunch Trek Back to top of Tseram O/N Camp 400m(6 to 7 hours). Day 13: Trek to Manibuk O/N Camp, 4290m (6 to 7 hours) 9km. This day pass to south side to north side base camp via first pass unnamed pass 4720m then other second pass Mirginla 4675m & last pass Siniola 4660m. From Siniola pass able to recognize Mt Eeverest, Lotse Shar, Makalu, Chamlang etc. In a long line of snow peaks to the north –west while a Janu is granted to the north east, Then steeply hill down to Manibuk O/N Camp. Day 14: Trek to Gunsa O/N Camp, 3540m (3 to 4 hours) 5km Day 15: Trek to Khangbachen O/N Camp, 4225m (5 to 6 hours) 12km Day 16: Trek to Lonak O/N camp, 4815m (3 to 4 hours) 10km Day 17: Trek to Pangpema O/N Camp, 5140m (3 to 4 hour) 10km. Pangpema was used as the north base camp site for Dyhrenfurth, 1930 Expedition, it is a dramatic place with stunning view will in all direction. The hill side north of Pangpema will reward with spectacular view of Ginsang Glacier, There is a nature shelf acts as a grinds fund from which to view Kanchanjunga’ S vast face. Day 18: Trek back to Khangbachen O/N Camp, 4225m, (5 to 6 hours) 20km Day 19: Trek back to Gunsa O/N Camp, 3540m (3 to 4 hour) 12km Day 20: Trek Back to Gyapra via Phole O/N Camp, 2790m (4 to 5 hours) 9km Day 21: Trek back to Skathum via Amjelasa O/N Camp1680m (6 to 7 hours) 17km Day 22: Trek back to Chiruwa via Tapethok O/N Camp, 1330m (4 to 5 hours) 11km Day 23: Trek back to Furumbe O/N Camp, 1300m (4 to 5 hours) 11km Day 24: Trek back to Suketar O/N Camp2400m (4 to 4 ½ hours) 10km Day 25: Fly back to Kathmandu via Biratnagar O/N Hotel Day 26: Free day in Kathmandu O/N Hotel Day 27: Free day in Kathmandu O/N Hotel Day 28: Final departure.
