- Day hikes to spectacular rock formations - San (bushmen) Rock Art sites - Visit to Wuppertal mission village. There are many sites with amazing examples of San (Bushmen) Rock Art. The area is rich in Mountain Fynbos vegetation and animals include baboons, Cape Fox, Porcupine, Aardwolf, Caracal, Honeybadger and the very iconic but shy mountain leopard. There is more than 100 bird species, and pairs of Verreaux’s eagle are quite often seen gliding the thermals. This package includes three nights accommodation in cottages or at a campsite. We provide all camping equipment including tents, mattresses, fresh linen, cooking equipment etc. Our guide will fully cater for breakfast, lunch and dinner. This area is a photographers dream, so don't forget the camera! Activities include a hike up to the remarkable Maltese Cross, discovering the Stadsaal caves, walking the Sevilla Rock Art Trail, and visiting the mission village of Wuppertal, an undiscovered gem hidden in the mountain ranges and relatively unchanged since the 1800's.
