Tour Highlights:
- Cheetah Outreach center - Eagle Encounters Rehabilitation center - Raptor inter-active display - Wine tasting at Spier - Optional lunch at Moyo. Tour Itinerary: The Cheetah Center is based at Spier who donated land to a group of hand-raised cheetahs in the care of the Cheetah Outreach Program. On our tour you can learn more about these incredible cats, either from a distance, or you can choose to get up close and personal in one of their enclosures. Spier is also home to the Eagle Encounters Raptor Rehabilitation Center. Eagle Encounters is a bird of prey rehabilitation, education, conservation and eco-tourism center. As a self-funded, non-profit establishment, Eagle Encounters relies on the income generated by tourism to drive the numerous programs it offers. The long-term vision of the Eagle Encounters project is to preserve the eco-environment by protecting birds of prey through the re-release of rehabilitated birds back into the wild. Watch how ancient falconry techniques are used to train them to hunt. On our tour we visit them for an inter-active display. Spier Wine tasting introduces you to your choice of five wines produced on the estate. Their wine tasting experts are on hand for any advice and to help you purchase a bottle or two if you desire.
