Tour Itinerary:
We take a transfer to the village of Fumba and board onto a “ngalawa“ - a local outrigger canoe carved from a single mango tree. First stop is at the Kwale coral reef, offering an overwhelming abundance of coral and colorful fish. A guide will show and explain interesting marine species and will also teach beginners how to snorkel. Then you can relax with soft drinks, young coconuts, snacks on paradise, like sand bank surrounded by turquoise blue waters. At that area pods of humpback and bottlenose dolphins are commonly seen hunting fish and squids at the surface of the water. The dhow will bring you to the Island where sea foods buffet is served comprising grilled calamari, two types of grilled fish, slipper, lobster and other sea fruits together with sugar traditional candies (kashata). Chilled soft drinks and cold beer of course are also included. While you are having your lunch you will also enjoy nice Zanzibar traditional music known as Dumbak. After the lunch, tropical fruits testing will be presented with the chance to savor between 10-15 species of tropical fruits. On short walk into the Island’s tropical forest you can find a 500-year old baobab tree that 70 years ago was bowled by storm.
