Tour Itinerary:

Day 1: Addis Ababa dejetag and briefing day. Tour the city or sleep. In the evening views of Addis Ababa by night - evening meal, or go to Sheraton or relax in Hilton hotwater swimming pool.

Day 2: Addis Ababa to Debre Markos transit via the Portugal Bridge, the monastery of Debre Libanos, see tramatic rises and drop scenery going north to the Blue Nile Falls at Bahir Dar. Evening in Debre Markos transit; not an interesting town but good for the driver and guest to rest overnight.

Day 3: Debre Markos to Bahir Dar for Lake Tana, Ethiopian monasteries and Islands.

Day 4: Lake Tana in the morning to see island monasteries. In the afternoon drive to Gonder.

Day 5: Views of the ancient castles and Royal baths of imperial capital of Ethiopia until the 19th century. See the church of Angels at Debre Brehan Selassie. Evening meal and tour of Gonder on foot by night.

Day 6: Gonder to Lalibela by plane. Visit the churches of Lalibeal on foot or by car as you feel or can. Overnight at the Mountain View Tukul Hotel.

Day 7: Lalibela Tour of the city. Afternoon plane back to Addis Ababa. Evening in Addis Ababa at Top View Restaurant and evening Ethiopian dancing and music.

Day 8: Addis Ababa to Rift Valley Lakes stoppping off at Zway or Langano. Evening in Awasa town at Lake Awasa.

Day 9: Awasa to Arba Minch for Lakes Chamo and Abya. This is transit.

Day 10: Lake Chamo and Abya to see crocodiles and hippos. Visit the Dorze weavers. Also see the way the people live. The Dorze people are famous for their brilliantly colored cloth.

Day 11: Arba Minch to Addis Ababa to return for evening.

Day 12: Addis Ababa to Menegesha Suba Forest. Views of 500 years old temperate forest. Walks and picnic. Evening back to Addis ababa.

Day 13: Departure.
