This is usually a loop around Ghandruk and Ghorepani. If you start from Phedi you trek to Landruk then cross the Modi Khola river reaching a place called Kyumi, a step path leads up from here to Ghandruk (1940m/ 6360ft). Ghardruk can also be approached directly from Nayapul through Syauli bazaar and Kliu; the path follows the Modi Khaola river. Then after Syauli bazaar turns away from the river and begging ascending.
After spending a day perhaps at Ghandruk-it is a large beautiful village with fabulous views of the Annapurna south peak takes the forested path to Tadapani then head west to Gharepani. The panorama of the Dhulagiri and Annapurna peaks from the pooh hill view point (3190m/10,460ft)above Gharepani is breathtaking. From Gharepani, a trail descends steeply to Nayapul.
