Day 1: Arrival Mumbai. Arrive Mumbai International airport by any convenient flight in the morning. Meet on arrival at the airport and transfer to hotel. Afternoon free for relax. Overnight stay in hotel.
Day 2: Mumbai. Morning visit the Gate Way of India and later proceed for a visit to Elephanta Caves. The Elephanta Caves are located on an island about 10 km away from the Gateway of India. These caves consist of temples carved from rock which date back to the 7th century. The chief attraction is the three headed bust of Lord Shiva, popularly known as "Trimurti". We provide you motor boats to go to Elephanta and back. Return to the city in the afternoon and transfer to a nice restaurant for lunch. Later proceed for the Mumbai city tour and visit Prince of Wales Museum, Hanging Gardens. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 3: Mumbai - Cochin. Arrival Cochin by any convenient flight. Meet on arrival and transfer to hotel. Cochin is also known as 'Queen of the Arabian Sea' due to its natural harbor being one of the finest. Cochin is a city made of islands connected to Ernakulum on the mainland by bridges and ferries. The interesting city of Cochin perfectly reflects the eclecticism of Kerala. This quaint town has seen historic visits from sea faring traders in the past from Portugal, China etc bringing to it different cultures that make up its fabric. Check into the hotel. After lunch proceed for sightseeing in Cochin. Fort Kochi, Mattancherry Palace, Jewish Synagogue, Jew Town, Old spice market, St. Francis Church, Santa Cruz Basilica and Chinese fishing net are the popular spots. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 4: Kochi - Periyar. After breakfast drive to Periyar nestled in spice and rubber plantations. Known to be Kerala`s pride and testimony to nature`s splendor, Periyar has a lot to offer in terms of wildlife. Periyar is famous for its rare habitat of birds and animals and is one of the most popular destinations for nature lovers. Check in to your resort and get ready for your trip to cardamom hills where you could have a closer look at the spice plantations. The Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary is one of the places where the chances are pretty high that you will spot an elephant in the wild at close quarters and from the safe confines of a boat. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight stay at Periyar.
Day 5: Periyar - Alappuzha. Morning after breakfast at the hotel, drive to Alappuzha. On arrival in Alappuzha Jetty, check in at the houseboat. A glide in a houseboat through the enchanting backwaters is sure to rob your heart. Palm fringed narrow canals winding through the vast expense of panoramic sight one can never forgetting less than 15 min, the low hum of the motor and the dazzling afternoon light have tuned out the noises in your head, the deadlines, the telephone, the unfinished chapters. Watch the white tire-tread clouds turn into wisps of animal fur and then disappear. The isolation on a luxury houseboat is total. Overnight stay in a houseboat.
Day 6: Alappuzha - Kovalam. Breakfast on board. Disembark at Alappuzha, 70 km from Cochin, this unique backwater destination situated on the banks of the Vembanad lake is considered as gateway to the backwater of Kuttanad, the granary of Kerala. Then drive to Kovalam through green coastal belt and cashew plantations. Despite the fact that virtually the entire 550 km length of the Kerala coast is lined with sandy beaches, rocky promontories and coconut palms, Kovalam is one of the only place where swimming in the sea is not considered eccentric by locals. Check into the hotel. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 7: Kovalam. Kovalam has been a favorite haunt of tourist especially Europeans, since the 1930s. A massive rocky promontory on the beach has created a beautiful Bay of calm waters ideal for sea bathinf.The day is free for leisure at resort, Ayurveda treatment, message, yoga classes, swimming, beach volleyball, indoor games and learn to cook with spices, sunbathing, special cultural programs, Catamaran cruising etc. Overnight at Kovalam. The day is free for leisure and beach activities, you can enjoy Ayurveda treatment, massage and Yoga at the resort.
Day 8: Kovalam - Kanyakumari. After breakfast time is free to spend on beaches optionally you can take sightseeing tour of Trivandrum city, (16 km) the capital of the state of Kerala is a beautiful seaside city built on seven hills. The famous Sri Padmanabhaswamy Swami Temple is dedicated to Vishnu and is a landmark in the city. Later drive to Cape Camorin also known as Kanya Kumari 85 km, this place is at the tail tip end of India, one can see the 3 seas meet over here (Arabian Sea, Indian Ocean and bay of Bengal) on arrival visit Kumari Amman Devi Temple, Vivekananda Rock and Ashram, enjoy sunset over here. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 9: Kanyakumari - Madurai. After breakfast check out and proceed to Madurai. The Meenakshi Temple in the heart of the old town is the supreme attraction here. A rightfully flamboyant example of Dravidian architecture it has gourmands covered from top to bottom with vibrant images of deities, animals and mythical figures. Other main attractions of this city are Terumalai Nayak Mahal, Gandhi Museum and Vandiyur Mariamman Teeppakulam. Overnigt stay at hotel.
Day 10: Madurai - Trichi. After breakfast check out and proceed to Trichy. Trichy the most famous landmark of this bustling town - the Rock Fort Temple, a spectacular monument perched on a massive rocky outcrop, which rises abruptly from the plain to tower over the old city. It is reached by a flight of steep steps cut into the rock and from its summit you get a fantastic view of the town plus its other main landmark, the Sri Ranganathanswami Temple. This temple is one of the largest and most interesting temple complexes in India, built on an island in the middle of the Cauvery River and covering a staggering 2.5 sq km and Jambukeshwara Temples. Evening drive back to hotel or take a walk through old city particularly big bazaar street and China bazaar. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 11: Trichi - Pondicherry. After breakfast check out and drive to Pondicherry. A former French colony settle in the 18th century. Pondicherry is indeed is a beautiful Indian town with traces of French culture still intact and an ashram by the sea. Walking is the best way to see Pondicherry. Awalk around the white Town-begin at the southern end of Goubert Salai, also known as Beach Road-will take you past most of Pondicherry's sights: the palace de la Republique, the Light house, the French War Memorial, the statue of Joan of Arc, the church of Our Lady of the Angels, the Pondicherry Museum and the Government Garden. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 12: Pondicherry - Chennai. After breakfast check out and drive to Chennai meet and transfer to your hotel. Later in the evening enjoy the drive through Marina Beach-considered one of the longest beaches in the world, the Marina is about 12 km long and is the favorite place for evening promenades. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 13: Chennai - Mahabalipuram. Morning sightseeing in Chennai. Afternoon check out from the hotel and drive to Mahabalipuram. On arrival in Mahabalipuram, check in to the hotel. Overnight stay in hotel.
Day 14: Mahabalipuram. Day free in Mahabalipuram for independent activities. Overnight stay in hotel.
Day 15: Mahabalipuram - Chennai - Departure. Morning on time transfer to Chennai International airport to take flight back home. On departure the tour concludes with happy memories.
