Ten thousand or more years ago, the Jordan Valley was the site of one of the first organized communities, a place where man, the hunter, settled down to cultivate the land. This part of the world, since the beginning of human civilization, has had a history of enormous significance. Ammonites. Moabites and Edomites, Canaanites, Egyptians, Babylonians, Persians, Greeks, Romans, Byzantines, Crusaders, and many others have competed to control it at various times. Jordan is a beautiful and peaceful coutryin the Middle that embraces the, Present and the past, the extended desert, the beautiful fields and the steep heights. Jordan offers the best shores on the, Red Sea Coast of Aqaba with the best diving and ample of time relaxing.
Day 1: Amman (No meals). Arrive at Amman Airport where our representative will meet and assist you through customs and then you claim your baggage. You will be transferred to your selected hotel for a free evening. Overnight at your Hotel.
Day 2: Amman/ Dead Sea/ Jersash/ Ajloun. After breakfast you will drive of the main road until you reach the Dead Sea the lowest spot on the Earth Surface (1306 feet below sea level). The Dead Sea is 46 miles long and 310 miles wide with no outlets. It is a scenic oddity by day it is silvery blue and by the night it glistens in the moonlight. You will then drive to Jerash, which was known as the city of a 1,000 Pillars. You will also visit the Triple Arched Gate, the Huge Hippodrome, the Theatre, and the only Roman Forum surrounded by 63 Ionic columns. Just west of Jerash and Ajloun is the imposing Arab Castle of Qalaat El Rabad from where the forces of Salahedin (Saladin) launched their successful campaigns against the Crusader. Day 3: Amman/ Mt.Nebo/ Madaba/ Kerak/ Petra. After breakfast you will drive southward along the King's Highway, (one of the oldest trade routes in the world which runs 200 miles along Jordan's hilly backbone). You'll stop at the Byzantine Church of Mt. Nebo and then onto Madaba where you will see a unique Mosaic Map of Palestine. You will then visit the Great Crusaders Castles of Kerak and continue to Petra for the night. Overnight at your hotel. Includes: (B).
Day 4: Petra/ Wadi Rum. Start the visit with a horse ride from the main gate of Petra to the entrance of the old city. Then walk on foot to visit the rose-red city of Petra - City of the Edo mites and later the Nabateans who carved a breathtaking empire out of the solid mountain rock hidden by a canyon. You will visit the Treasury, Theatre Tombs, Hall of Justice and Palaces. In the late afternoon you will leave Petra for Wadi Rum which is well know from the movie "Lawrence of Arabia" you will stay for an unforgettable night camping with the traditional Bedouins including dinner and party . Overnight at your Camp. Includes: (B), (D).
Day 5: Amman. After Breakfast, you will leave Wadi Rum by bus and transfer to Amman. Arrive Amman and transfer to the Amman Airport for your departure flight. Includes: (B).
