Abundant bird life abounds within the Livingstone, Lochinvar and Kafue areas of Zambia, and as such, we have come up with an exciting feather-fanatic fantasy.
Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: Livingstone
Arrive from Johannesburg, familiarization, Sunset Boat Cruise on the Zambezi River
Day 2: Livingstone
Nature walk along the Zambezi River, tour of Victoria Falls and the Crocodile Park, African Spectacular (Traditional Dancing)
Day 3: Livingstone
Drive in Mosi O Tunya National Park, transfer to Choma, estimated transfer time 2 ½ hrs
Day 4: Choma
Day trip to Lochinvar, estimated transfer time 2 ½ hrs one way
Day 5: Choma
Day trip to Nkanga Conservancy, estimated transfer time ½ hr one way
Day 6: Choma
Nature walk in the Miombo Woodlands around the Chalets, where the Chaplin’s Barbet can be spotted, transfer to Livingstone, estimated transfer time 2 ½ hrs
Day 7: Livingstone
Morning walk in Mosi O Tunya Park, transfer to the airport for the Johannesburg flight
Species To date we have compiled a species list that numbers in excess of 140 different birds, including the Pels Fishing Owl, Lesser African Jacana, Half Collared Raven, Chaplin’s Barbet, Taita Falcon, Black Crake, African Finfoot, African Skimmer, Whiskered Tern, five species of Hornbill, seven species of Kingfisher, four species of Bee-eater and Pennant winged Nightjar to name but a few.
Accommodation is provided in Safari Tents that are 2,4 square meters A-frame Safari Tents with sewn in groundsheets and mosquito proofing, and are equipped with stretcher beds, foam mattresses, pillows, sheets and blankets. There is some participation required from the clients when it comes to the erection of the tents, otherwise all other chores are handled by the guide and one camp assistant.
Transport is provided in minibuses and open safari vehicles, with a trailer being available for clients’ luggage on the transfers.

Deposit: A 50% deposit is required Eight weeks prior to travel to secure the booking, with the balance being payable upon arrival. A cancellation fee of fifty percent of the deposit will be effected if the safari is cancelled 30 days or less from the date of arrival, and the full fifty percent within 14 days.
