Your Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival at Entebbe Airport, take a 40 minutes drive and transfer to Kampala-Uganda’s Capital and Check in Namirembe Resource center (NAREC) Hostel. This is a student like accommodation hostel, Clean rooms but non-self contained the center has a dinning, resting, conference room, with a secure environment. At 1.00 pm in the mild sunny afternoon, we transfer to Speke Country resort in Munyonyo for Lunch, just 15 minutes drive south of Kampala aside of Africa’s biggest water body lake Victoria. Speke Country resort is a little world of itself. The recreation facilities make it absolutely pleasurable and comfortable experience. The resort covers a big gorgeous landscape overlooking Lake Victoria. After lunch you can enjoy activities like; Swimming, fishing and boat riding. In the evening, return to NAREC, relax, dinner and over night. Included: (B), (L), (D).

Day 2: Wake up by 8.00 am, breakfast will be ready at NAREC dinning. English tea/coffee, banana, Uganda’s passion juice, bread, Eggs Sambusas, chapat, apples will be available for breakfast. Prepare to tour Kampala city. Kampala has several unique settings and friendliest people. Today in the morning we shall briefly visit the city center-British Embassy, Uganda’s National Parliament, Uganda’s Independence monument, and crafts village near National Theatre. Mid-day we stop for one hour at Web city internet café for us to send emails and make telephone calls to loved ones back home. Return to NAREC for Lunch .The menu will include; chips, chicken, chapat, passion, greens, mineral water, matooke, gnuts, sausages, fish etc. After Lunch visit Kasubi tombs. This is one of the most popular historical site. The tomb is burial house for Kings. In Buganda kingdom it’s believed that a king cannot be buried in an open cemetery like a common man. He has to be buried indoor. You will learn all this at the cultural site. Its grass thatched oval shape makes a unique for any visitor to admire. Crafts are also available for shopping. Transfer to Uganda museum to learn about Uganda all under one roof. The Museum guide will take you through the different peoples of Uganda, their cultures, instruments of power and some of past African creations. In the evening, return to NAREC, relax, dinner and over night. Included: (B), (L), (D).

Day 3: Today we move out of Kampala to do community work. After breakfast in the morning at NAREC, we travel to Masuliita Village to visit an Orphanage home. The home is 1hr drive away from Kampala and its managed by a women organization called Uganda Woman’s Efforts to Save Orphans (UWESO). This where most Ugandan orphaned children are kept. Most orphans lost their parents to HIV/AIDS. We shall split in groups depending on the interest. One group can stay and play with children and feed then some food. Others can help in farm where the foods of the Orphanage home are cultivated. The other group can do home cleaning, using African brooms and painting. The choice will be really yours. Have Lunch and spend an hour with the Children, make home donations and return to Kampala arriving at NAREC late afternoon. Relax in the evening, dinner and over night. Included: (B), (L), (D).

Day 4: After Breakfast in the morning, at 9.am we depart to Uganda Wildlife Center in Entebbe. This is a gazetted area aside of Lake Victoria where a number of animals and birds are kept. Lions, chimps, monkeys, and lots birds do exist in this place. At 1.00 Pm take a 10 minutes drive transfer to Imperial Resort Beach. We shall have Lunch at the beach. - Chips and good Tilapia Fish. The beach is located on the shores of Lake Victoria with a number of activities, which include: swimming, beach volleyball, beach soccer, camel rides, and swings. Included: (B), (L), (D).

Day 5: Today we go Cultural. Breakfast in the morning at NAREC, move to Experience Africa Crafts Village at Buganda road. It’s a 10 minutes drive from NAREC. We do crafts shopping. Transfer to Garden City. Garden city is Uganda’s biggest shopping center with a variety of shops, supermarkets, beauty salon, ice cream parlors and Ugandan, Indian, and Italian restaurants. We shall spend time shopping and later move for Lunch at Ekitobeero Restaurant for Uganda’s traditional meal. This restaurant prepares only Uganda’s traditional meal like the well-cooked Matooke, groundnuts, peas, beans, cassava, sweet potatoes, millet, chicken. This is your chance to test real African dish. Return to NAREC at 3.00 p.m, relax on a Sunday afternoon. At 4.30 p.m we visit the Ndeere Cultural Center- to see African dances. Ndeere troupe is the most popular cultural group in Uganda; they stage typical African dances and music that will not leave you seated. You will have a chance to participate in the dances. Day 6: Today we rock the Wildlife Zone in the western Uganda. Depart from NAREC, in the morning at 8.00 am, to head Queen Elizabeth National Park in western Uganda. Drive through Kampala and escape the city to Masaka Road by 9.00 a.m. At 10.30 am, stop at the equator on Masaka road. This is a chance to stand in two hemispheres of the world simultaneously. Take photographs, a chance for you to look at beautiful African crafts, not forgetting that you can send a post card to your friends back home, to tell them that you were on an African safari. Continue the journey, arrive in Masaka town for Breakfast, you can have English tea/coffee, sambas, what about African bananas, and great Ugandan pineapple. Many items to select. Head further west, pass through, Lyantonde Township and then through Lake Mburo National Park. Take a stop over in Mbarara for Lunch. Continue with the journey through Mbarara town; pass through the undulating landscape of western Uganda, commonly known as the Switzerland of Africa, till you enter the famous Queen Elizabeth National Park. A short drive of 200 metres, lots of wildlife especially the famous Uganda Kobs and Waterbucks will welcome you to their home. Travel through the park and Kasese-Check in Saad Hotel. Have an evening relaxation overlooking the great lake Edward, dinner and overnight. Included: (B), (L), (D).

Day 7: Wake up early morning, by 6.00 am, and the African experience rocks again. Start a great game drive around the park. You have a wildlife guide with you, to tell you all about animals. This is a chance to see thousands of wildlife e.g., Monkeys, hyenas, lions, Elephants, Uganda Kobs, Warthogs, and thousands of beautiful birds. You will have a chance to view up to 604 different species of birds-the highest number of bird species to be found within any nature reserve in Africa. The game drive takes up to 4 hours around the park. Remember to pass with your Camera to electronically record this experience. Transfer for Breakfast at 10.00 a.m. After Breakfast head to a small park museum within the park, to learn about the history of the park. We shall have Lunch buffet at the magnificent Mweya safari lodge-situated on the banks of Lake Edward. After Lunch, at 3.00 pm, head to shores of Lake Edward to take one of the most fascinating boat cruise in the park. This Launch trip starts on Lake Edward and moves along Kazinga water channel. Other tourists from other countries will join you. A guide will be on the trip to answer every question. Lots of water animals, e.g. Crocodiles, Hippos, beautiful water birds, water buffalos, 65 year old Elephants, drinking water by the shores. You will have a chance to see a hippo at a closer range and say hello. This will be a perfect chance to record your African experience. The cruise takes two hours after which you will come back, and if time allows take an evening game drive. Drive back to your hotel, relax, dinner and overnight. Included: (B), (L), (D).

Day 8: Wake up by 8.30 am, take breakfast, and afterwards. Prepare to travel to Kampala. Drive out of the park and take a road through Bushenyi, Mbarara, Masaka and Kampala. Various stops can be done for personal shopping of African crafts, which are quite cheaper in the countryside unlike Kampala. We shall arrive at NAREC in Kampala late afternoon. Included: (B), (L), (D).

Day 9: After Breakfast in the morning, today traverse the East of Uganda to discover for yourself the source of the World longest river-The Nile. Depart to Jinja, East of Kampala; it’s about 1hr drive from Kampala. We shall stop briefly in Mabira forest and proceed to the Source of River Nile. The Nile begins its long journey to Mediterranean sea in Egypt from here. After touring the source of Nile, transfer to Bujjagali waterfalls to see River Nile saying a different story. Bujjagali falls re massive water falls with great pressure. If chance allows, you will see people doing white water rafting on the falls. We also have local Ugandan who rafts using African methods. Transfer to Jinja Nile Resort for Lunch. This is a great resort with pretty facilities. You will have a chance of having your meal while listening to the flowing waters of the Nile. After Lunch, you can take a swim or relax in grass-thatched umbrellas overlooking the Nile. In the evening travel back to Kampala arriving at NAREC in the Evening, dinner and overnight. Day 10: Today is our final day in Uganda. We do final shopping in Kampala malls and later transfer to Entebbe International airport and take a flight back home. Included: (B), (L).
