Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: Tashkent - Urgench - Khiva. Early transfer to the airport and fly to Urgench at 7:00 am. Arrive Urgench and drive to Khiva (30 km), hotel check-in and breakfast. Full day for sightseeing of Khiva, including visits to the inner town of Ichan Kala (XIV-XX c) with Muhamad Amin khan Madrassah, Kalta Minor Minaret, Kunya Ark, Muhamad Rahim khan Madrassah, Djuma Mosque and Minaret, Tash Hauli Palace. In the evening proceed on a sightseeing for 2 hrs: Islam Hodja minaret, Shirgazi khan Madrassah, Pahlavan Mahmud Mausoleum. Overnight in Khiva. Includes: (B). Day 2: Khiva - Bukhara. Breakfast in the hotel. Drive to Bukhara via the Kizilkum desert (460 km,7 hrs). Stop en route near the Amu Darya River and for picnic lunch. Arrive Bukhara, hotel check-in, free time. Overnight in Bukhara. Includes: (B). Day 3: Bukhara. Breakfast in the hotel. Full day in Bukhara. Portion of city tour for 4 hrs with visits to the Ark fortress (I-XX c), Bolo-Haus complex (XVIII c), mausoleum of Ismail Samani (IX-X c), Chashma-Ayub mausoleum (XII-XVI c). After lunch portion of s/s tour on foot along the old town of Bukhara from medrese and minaret Kalyan (XII c) through orient bazaars with three trade domes of Toki Zargaron (XV c), Toki Sarrafon (XVI c), Toki Telpak Furushon (XVI c), Ulugbek Madrassah (XV c), Abdulazizkhan Madrassah (XVII c) to the Lyabi Hauz complex (XVI-XVII c). Overnight in Bukhara. Includes: (B). Day 4: Bukhara. Breakfast in the hotel. Today we drive outside Bukhara for sightseeing: Bagautdin Nakhshbandi Complex - a center of Sufism (XIV-XVI c), 14 km outside the town, Sitorai Mokhi Khosa - summer residence of the last Emir of Bukhara (XIX-XX c), 4 km outside the town. Afternoon visit to the Chor Bakr Necropolis (XVI-XX c), 10 km outside the town, back to Bukhara and a visit to the Chor Minor (Four Minarets, XIX c). Dinner in Nadir Divan Begi Madrassah with folk show. Overnight in Bukhara. Includes: (B). Day 5: Bukhara - Shakhrisabz - Samarkand. Breakfast in the hotel. Drive to Shakhrisabz (300km, 4 hours). Shakhrisabz is a home-town of Tamerlane and during our 2 hour sightseeing tour we can enjoy the bright example of Central Asian architecture of XIV-XV centuries by visiting: The Ak Saray Palace, Ulugbek's Blue Domed Mosque, Jakhangir's Mausoleum. After lunch drive on to Samarkand (150 km, 2,5 hours). Arrive Samarkand, hotel check-in. Overnight in Samarkand. Includes: (B). Day 6: Samarkand. Breakfast in the hotel. Full day in Samarkand. Sightseeing tour for 4 hrs: observatory of Ulugbek (XV c), Excavation of an ancient city and museum of Afrosiab, Tombstone of Saint Danyar. In the evening s/s for 3 hours visiting the Registan Square (XV-XVII c), Bibi Khanum Mosque (XIV-XV c) and Samarkand local bazaar. Overnight in Samarkand. Includes: (B). Day 7: Samarkand. Breakfast in the hotel. Full day in Samarkand. Start the day with a city tour for 4 hours to the Gur-Emir Mausoleum - Grave of Timur (XV c), Rukhabad Mausoleum (XIV c), Shakhi Zinda Necropolis (XIV-XV c). Then visit the "Samarkand-Bukhara Silk Carpets" factory for 2 hours where you can observe the whole process of weaving silk carpets based on hand made technology. Overnight in Samarkand. Includes: (B). Day 8: Samarkand - Tashkent. Breakfast in the hotel. Drive to Tashkent (320 km, 5 hours). Arrive Tashkent and transfer to Tashkent International Airport. End of the tour.
