Tour Itinerary:
Day One: Arrival Arrive at Entebbe international airport, meet with the driver guide for introduction and transfer to a hotel in Entebbe. Depending on your time of arrival you could board a boat for a night at Ngamba Island and start the chimp view the following morning. O/N Lake Victoria hotel or Boma Guest house or Ngamba Island Camp (BB). Day Two: Entebbe – Ngamba Island This day starts with a briefing at UWEC then board a Boat from Entebbe main land and depart for Ngamba Islands. The boat cruise can take about 50 minutes with a speed boat and about 90 minutes with a traditional boat. You can either watch the morning or evening feeding of the chimpanzees from a raised wooden platform depending on the time of arrival. O/N: Ngamba Island Camp (FB). Day Three: Ngamba Island Sanctuary After breakfast in the morning, go for a forest walk viewing chimpanzees, birds and other species. You will break for lunch and in the afternoon take a village walk visiting fishing villages then later go swimming at the equator after which you will go for a relaxed night or even board a speed boat back to Entebbe. O/N: Ngamba Island Camp or Lake Victoria hotel or Boma Guest house (HB). Day Four: Departure Board a boat back to Entebbe mainland. Here you will transfer to Entebbe airport for your return flight back home. Departure Times Speedboat Morning 09.00 Afternoon 12. 00 Traditional Motorized Boat All day Speedboat 1: Capacity: 5 pax. Engine: outboard Yamaha 140HP. An 18 foot sea going ski boat with single foam filled hull, sun canopy and life jackets. Speedboats 2 & 3: Capacity: 12 pax. Engine: 2 X outboard Yamaha 140HP, A 25 foot speed boat, sun canopy and life jackets on board. A Traditional Motorized boat – Capacity 20 pax, modified boat for tourist travelling on Lake Victoria. Life jackets and rain suites on board. Tour Ends. Chimpanzee Note: fees for chimpanzee walks - USD 350 per walk, not included in safari cost. Our fees include ground transport, accommodation and meals, boat transfers to the island and visits to other islands while there, as well as watching the morning and afternoon chimpanzee feeds on a raised platform daily while on the Island.
