Brazil is one of the world’s 10 ‘megadiversity’ countries, and an essential destination for any serious birder or wildlife enthusiast. Our Brazil - Birds & Wildlife of the Pantanal & Cerrado tour is a birding and wildlife safari that takes in three significant locations; deciduous Amazonian forests, where we will visit the nesting site of a Harpy Eagle, the bird rich Cerrado woodlands, and the celebrated Pantanal – the planet’s largest wetland, encompassing 80,000 square miles of emerald forests, savannas, rivers and lagoons. Here we will find ourselves privy to an incredible range of fauna. With over 650 bird species and a staggering 200 mammals, this region is unlikely to disappoint. To boot, this is also the most reliable place for sighting the magnificent Jaguar.
