Explore the Rosario Islands, made up of 43 idyllic tropical islands, covering 20 hectares of coral islands and reefs. The climate is tropical, humid, and averages 27 degrees Celsius. The Parks mangroves, coral reefs, and sea flora constitute one of the most diverse and productive ecosystems on the planet. Stay in the quaint fisherman’s cove of Taganga, and watch the sun set over the sandy bay dotted with old fishermen’s boats that bobble in the seas tranquil waters.
Tayrona National Park has long been known to connoisseurs as one of the wildest and most beautiful corners of South America. Its swimming beaches are reached by a trail that dips and climbs through the rain forest and over mounds of giant white boulders. Santa Marta boasts a fine natural harbor and splendid views, but that’s not the only reason the Spaniards conquers chose it for their first settlement. They also came hypnotized by the legends of gold as the local Tayrona indigenous communities were known for their incredible goldsmith work.
