Day 1: Meeting and assistance by our staff at Queen Alia International Airport. Transport to hotel in Amman. Overnight at hotel in Amman. Day 2: Amman - Madaba - Mount Nebo. Breakfast. Drive southwards, visiting Madaba with the oldest map of the Holy Land, and its famous mosaic school. Proceed to Mt. Nebo with its endearing monastery overlooking the Dead Sea. Return to hotel in Amman for overnight. Day 3: Jerash - Ajloun - Um Qais (Gadara) - Pella (Tabaqat Fahl) - overnight Amman. Breakfast. Morning departure to visit Jerash, one of the best preserved Greco-Roman cities in the world with its theaters, temples, churches and colonnaded streets. Proceed towards Ajlun to tour the 12th century Saracen Castle built by one of Saladin’s lieutenants in the campaign against the Crusaders. Then drive to Umm Qais (ancient Gadara), one of the most brilliant of Greco-Roman cities, then visiting one of the most ancient sites in Jordan Pella. Return to hotel in Amman for overnight. Day 4: Bethany (Baptism site) - Dead sea panorama - overnight Dead sea. Drive to the site of John the Baptist's settlement at Bethany beyond the Jordan, where Jesus was baptized, then to the lowest point on Earth the Dead Sea, enjoy swimming in the buoyant waters and get covered in mud. Overnight in the dead sea. Day 5: Kerak Castle - Shobak Castle - Petra - overnight Petra. Drive southwards along the Kings’ Way to Petra, drive through the magnificent scenery of Wadi Mujib to Kerak to visit the Crusader Castle. Continue south to Petra. Overnight at hotel. Day 6: Petra - overnight Wadi-Rum. Breakfast. The tour of Petra starts on horseback and proceeds to gradually unfold the mysteries of the Rose Red City with its spectacular treasury, Royal Tombs, burial chambers and high places of sacrifice. Drive to Wadi Rum for overnight in a camp. Day 7: Aqaba - overnight Aqaba. Drive south to the Red Sea resort of Aqaba, overnight at Aqaba. Day 8: Departure. Breakfast.
