Day 1: Drive to Bwindi. Depart Kampala early in the morning and travel through Uganda’s green undulating countryside to a gorilla forest reserve. Dinner and overnight at Gorilla Forest Camp/Gorilla Resort/Buhoma Lodge/Silverback Lodge/Buhoma Community Rest Camp. Day 2: Gorilla Tracking. After an early breakfast, head to the Uganda Wildlife Headquarters at Buhoma for a briefing on gorilla tracking etiquette. At 8.30 head to the impenetrable forest. You will pick your way through dense undergrowth, and along the scenic forest tracks with great anticipation. You’ll finally meet a family of gorillas and spend one hour with them in the forest. Dinner and overnight at Gorilla Forest Camp/Gorilla Resort/Buhom Lodge/Silverback Lodge/Buhoma Community Rest Camp. Day 3: Village Walk, Picnic Lunch, Cultural Performance. After breakfast, we’ll take a day’s walk through the forest and the local villages. We’ll visit the local brewers who make beer out of bananas, and the local medicine man. We’ll have a picnic lunch and in the afternoon we’ll have a cultural performance by the local community. Dinner and overnight at Gorilla Forest Camp/Gorilla Resort/Buhoma Lodge/Silverback Lodge/Buhoma Community Rest Camp. Day 4: Depart for Kampala. After a substantial breakfast we will departure for Kampala. En route, we will have a stopover lunch at the Equator. There, we will enjoy a short demonstration on the different hemispheres across the equator. We will reach Kampala in the evening. Notes: Price Includes:
