This beautiful territory is rich of water and luxuriant vegetation. Monasteries, hermitages, and incredible panoramas are the principal attractions. One of the itineraries that we offer start coasting along the throats of the Rocchetta where still an uncontaminated and fresh water flows, to continue up to the cave of monk Fava a hermit that chose this mountain as place of withdrawal until San Francis personally convinced him to live in the Franciscan monastery together with the other brothers.
In the summit of the mountain Valsorda among the colored lawns pasture, opens a panorama on the whole Umbrian valley one of the most beautiful of the region. The complete itinerary can be done by foot while the throats of the Rocchetta and the Valsorda will be possible to visit by car. Also in this case the itinerary can be prolonged for a whole weekend finishing with the visit of the Cucco Mountain and its caves where it is possible to practice speleology.
