Depart for Groot Constantia for wine tasting and a visit to Table Mountain (weather permitting). Enjoy lunch en route. Dinner at a restaurant at the V and A waterfront and overnight at Cape Grace Hotel. Day 3: Cape Peninsula. Depart for full day tour of Cape Peninsula (including Fish Hoek, Simonstown, Cape Point, Chapman’s Peak Drive, Hout Bay and Kirstenbosch). Light lunch en route. Dinner and overnight at hotel. Day 4: Pride of Africa. Transfer to Rovos Rail’s private lounge at Cape Town station. Depart Cape Town Station on Rovos Rail’s journey to Pretoria (Deluxe Suite accommodation, upgrade available). Arrive Matjiesfontein in time to explore this Victorian village before dinner and overnight on the train. Day 5: Kimberley; Pride of Africa. Arrive Kimberley. After breakfast disembark a Kasama for an excursion to Chisimba Falls. Arrive Nakonde/Tunduma for Zambian/Tanzanian border formalities. Lunch and dinner on board. Day 16: Pride of Africa. Arrive Makambako. Descend spectacular pass to Mlimba. Morning lectures. Breakfast, lunch and dinner on board. Day 17: Zanzibar. Arrive Tazara Station, Dar es Salaam. Board local flight for 20 minute trip to Zanzibar. Transfer to Zanzibar Serena Hotel for lunch, dinner and overnight. Afternoon tour of Stone Town. Day 18: Zanzibar. Island Spice Tour with lunch en route. Afternoon at leisure. Dinner and overnight at hotel. Day 19: Ngorongoro Crater, Tanzania. Transfer to airport for flight to Kilimanjaro in Tanzania. On arrival board vehicles for 2 1/2 hour drive via Lake Manyara to Ngorongoro Farmhouse. Afternoon at leisure to relax at enjoy the serene atmosphere on the coffee farm. Dinner and overnight at lodge. Day 20: Ngorongoro Crater, Tanzania. After breakfast, game drive excursion to Ngorongoro Crater with lunch on floor of crater. Dinner and overnight at lodge. Day 21: Serengeti. Breakfast at the lodge. Transfer to Masek tented camp in Ndutu area, Serengeti Plains. Arrive at the camp for lunch and afternoon game drive. Dinner and overnight at the camp. Day 22: Serengeti. Breakfast at the lodge. Morning and afternoon game drives in the Serengeti. Lunch, dinner and overnight at the camp. Day 23: Uganda. Transfer to airstrip for domestic flight to Kilimanjaro airport. After immigration and customs formalities we depart for flight to Entebbe, Uganda. On arrival in Entebbe the passengers will be split into two groups. Group 1 will visit the chimpanzees on Ngamba Island and Group 2 will enjoy an excursion to Jinja, source of the Nile. Each group will enjoy lunch en route. Dinner and overnight at the Lake Victoria Serena Resort. Day 24: Uganda. The two groups of passengers exchange excursions today with Group 2 visiting the chimpanzees on Ngamba Island with Group 1 enjoying the excursion to Jinja source of the Nile. Dinner and overnight at the hotel. Day 25: Khartoum, Sudan. After breakfast transfer to Entebbe Airport for flight to Khartoum, Sudan. Transfer to the Burj Al Fateh Hotel for lunch. Afternoon visit to Omdurman Old Quarter & Market place. Dinner and overnight at hotel. Day 26: Khartoum, Sudan. Guests have the option of a full day tour to the sites of Masawwarat es-Sufra and Naqa (packed lunch provided) or a half day tour of Khartoum with lunch at the hotel. Dinner and overnight at hotel. Day 27: Cruise on Lake Nasser, Egypt. Transfer to Khartoum airport for flight to Abu Simbel, Egypt. On arrival visit the Abu Simbel Temples. Board Kasr Ibrim for your Lake Nasser cruise. Enjoy an afternoon at leisure with lunch and dinner and overnight on board. Day 28: Cruise to Amada; Wadi El Seboua. Breakfast is served while sailing to Kasr Ibrim. Tour conducted from the ship's sun deck as entrance to the site is not permitted. Lunch while sailing to Amada. Visit the temples of Amada and Derr as well as the Tomb of Penout. Afternoon sail to Wadi El Seboua. Dinner and overnight on board. Day 29: Wadi El Seboua. Morning visit to Wadi El Seboua, the temples of Dakka and Maharakka. Lunch on board. Sail to Aswan while dining. Overnight on board. Day 30: Luxor. Disembark after breakfast for road transfer to Luxor. En route visit the Edfu Temple and enjoy a packed lunch. On arrival at Luxor visit the Karnak Temple. Dinner and overnight at the Hilton Luxor Resort and Spa. Day 31: Luxor. After breakfast, enjoy a morning tour to the West Bank of Luxor, including Valley of Kings, Valley of Queens. the Temple of Hatshepsut and a photo stop at Colossi of Memnon. Lunch at the Hilton Hotel followed by an afternoon visit to the Luxor Temple. Dinner and overnight at hotel. Day 32: Cairo. After breakfast transfer to Luxor airport for flight to Cairo. On arrival transfer to Al Azhar Park for lunch followed by an afternoon visit to the Egyptian Museum of Antiquities. Transfer to the Four Seasons First Residence Hotel with vies of both the Nile and the Great Pyramids. Dinner at leisure at the hotel. Overnight at hotel. Day 33: Cairo. Morning tour of the Giza Pyramids and Sphinx. Lunch at Mena House. Afternoon tour of Saqqara and Memphis. Farewell dinner and overnight at hotel. Day 34: Cairo. Depart for home. Own arrangements.
