Tour Itinerary: Day 1: Calgary Arrival. Arrive in Calgary and spend the rest of the day sightseeing in the “Stampede City” independently. Overnight in Calgary. Day 2: Summit Helicopter Tour. Depart Calgary this morning for a full-day tour concluding in Lake Louise. Journey to Kananaskis where you will enjoy the highlight of today, a 12-minute Summit Helicopter Tour over the remarkable landscape of the Rockies. Continue on to Banff for a sightseeing tour including Bow Falls, Lake Minnewanka, Surprise Corner and the Hoodoos. A trip on the Banff Gondola is included. Your tour ends on arrival in world famous Lake Louise late this afternoon. Overnight at The Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise. Day 3: Lake Louise to Banff Tour, with Glacier Helicopter Tour and ranch lunch. Today your tour takes you through the magnificent Canadian Rockies past the Saskatchewan River Crossing to Cline River. Here you will enjoy a 25-minute helicopter flightseeing tour above the six glaciers of Mount Resolute, Mount Cline and the Whitegoat Peaks. You will also view a 270 meter (900-foot) waterfall, see some spectacular aqua-green high-alpine lakes and cross over a 2,700 meter (9,000-foot) mountain pass. A visit to a local ranch will provide ample time to discover the walking trails on-site and enjoy lunch at your leisure. Your tour ends on arrival in Banff this afternoon. Overnight in Banff. Day 4: Banff to Kamloops on board the Rocky Mountaineer. Travel on-board the Rocky Mountaineer from the mountain town of Banff to Kamloops, in the heart of British Columbia’s interior. Your journey offers you a spectacular array of scenery as you travel between the high peaks of the Canadian Rockies, over mountain passes and through remarkable tunnels, along rocky lakeshores and across the ranch lands of the interior. Today’s highlights include the Continental Divide, the Spiral Tunnels, the Kicking Horse Canyon, Rogers Pass, Craigellachie – where the last spike of the Canadian Pacific Railway was driven, and, of course, the glaciers and snow-capped peaks of the Canadian Rockies. Overnight in Kamloops. Includes: (B, L). Day 5: Kamloops to Vancouver on board the Rocky Mountaineer. Your journey continues west towards the Pacific Ocean and the coastal city of Vancouver. On today’s journey you will again see dramatic changes in scenery, from the desert - like environment of the interior, through winding river canyons and pristine forests, to the Coast and Cascade mountains and the lush green fields of the Fraser River Valley. Highlights include the steep slopes and rock sheds along the Thompson River and the rushing waters of Hell’s Gate in the Fraser Canyon. Your journey ends on arrival in Vancouver this evening. Overnight in Vancouver. Includes: (B, L). Day 6: Vacation Departure. Your vacation ends with check-out from your Vancouver hotel.
