South Africa’s classic yet modern Blue Train runs between Pretoria and Cape Town. Our Blue Train package lets you pair the fabulous train with the five-star game reserve of your choice. Private touring in Cape Town is also up to you — Cape Winelands with two tastings, or Cape Peninsula for views of the Cape of Good Hope. Combine with Rovos Rail, another South African luxury train, for a unique view of the African subcontinent’s diverse and spectacular scenery.

Tour Itinerary:

Day 1: Johannesburg. Private transfer from airport to deluxe Johannesburg hotel, the Melrose Arch. Day at leisure.

Day 2: Blue Train. Private transfer to Pretoria station’s Blue Train VIP lounge. Settle into your luxurious compartment. Enjoy lunch in the dining car and high tea in the gracious lounge before arriving Kimberley. Tour the “Big Hole,” one of the world’s most lucrative diamond mines and now a museum. Return to Blue Train for a formal dinner.

Day 3: Cape Town. Breakfast served before the Blue Train’s afternoon arrival in Cape Town. Private transfer to Table Bay Hotel. Rest of the day at leisure.

Day 4: Cape touring. Today choose a private, guided tour to:
- Two prize-winning wine estates in Cape Winelands, including tastings
- Cape Peninsula, culminating in the Cape of Good Hope.

Day 5: Game Reserve. Private transfer to airport and scheduled flight (additional) to Kruger Airport, where you take a safari flight (included) to the five-star game lodge of your choice: Londolozi Private Reserve, Singita Ebony Lodge, Singita Boulders Lodge or Sabi Sabi Earth Lodge. Game drive evening, dinner included.

Day 6: Sabi Sand Game Reserve. Early morning game drive into the bushveld by open land rover or on foot, accompanied by a knowledgeable Game Ranger and Shangaan Tracker. You’ll be close enough for a thrilling encounter with Africa’s beautiful wild creatures. Evening game drive, dinner tonight.
